*For the Goodreads authors, please explain why do you recommend it, what genre it is, what age group you recommend to, and give us a short, short, short excerpt (optional).

I just started this story, I'd like someone to give some advice on it: It's called Saving Tampuchea http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/2...

Tippy I'd like to recommend A parrot's lament:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...

and animals in translation:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/73...

as two of the best books I've read about animals.

Also, I have an blog that highlights the really strange and interesting things about various animals, big and small, and discusses conservation issues and shares some cool animal photos. You can find that here:

Awesome blog.

Tippy I enjoyed them both very much. Animals in translation focuses more on the science of animal behavior and intelligence, but the Parrot's Lament shares some of the most touching anecdotes I've ever read.

I'm glad you like the blog! I hope to keep putting up new posts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
