James jumped at the scream. "What was that? Who was that?" Please let it not be Raven.

Two large, burly, armed guards ran after Shay and tackled her to the ground, then tied her up and stuck a gag in her mouth. They tossed her into a room with reinforced walls, chained her to the wall, and locked the door.

Thomas's scalp suddenly tingled, almost painfully. He gasped, then immediately tried to appear calm. Either James or Harumi were very close by. I'm here, he thought. Come help me.
Perkn looked at Thomas with his eyes narroweed. "Something wrong, Thomas?"
Thomas scowled. "You mean, besides the fact that I'm kidnapped and stuck in a chair with a freakin' chip in my arm? No, nothing."
Perkn looked at Thomas for a moment more, then said, "Lift this doll up, Thomas." He took a small cloth doll out of his pocket.
"What if I don't want to?" Thomas said.
Perkn placed one of his hands inside his jacket. Suddenly a sharp pain stabbed through Thomas, one hundred times worse then anything he had ever felt. He almost screamed, but then the pain went away. If Thomas hadn't been restrained, he would have fallen out of his chair. As it was, he sat limply, panting, his eyes closed.
"All right," he said quietly. "I'll do whatever." Hurry, James. Or Harumi. Just hurry.

raven had heard the scream, and cried out in pain, her scream long and frail. She was in so much pain. She curled up into a ball, and held herself, her only piece of dignity keeping her from crying.
Thomas gritted his teeth and tried to lift the doll. Nothing happened.
Perkn studied Thomas. "Nothing's happening."
"I can't...do it..." Sweat rolled down Thomas's face.

James ran down the stairs and down a hall, startling a passing gaurd. "Hey! You--" Barely even slowing down, James knocked him out with a single punch. I'll find you, Thomas.
"Interesting." Perkn put his hand back inside his jacket. "Now try."
This time Thomas could lift the doll easily. He smiled in relief, then his concentration shattered. Someone was coming. He wanted to yell out loud to whoever was coming to rescue him, but he kept his composure.

Raven heard the guards collapse, feeling a slightly familiar person approaching. She hoped her instincts were correct.
Marina attempted to hush James, but he had already run off before she could do a thing. Deciding to keep guard, Marina made a half-veil (to slightly conceal herself, but it is not strong enough to make her completely invisible... mainly 'cause she is too tired) and stood as close as she dared to get to the wall. She still believed that it was possessed, and wanted to avoid contact to the best of her ability (plus, it would weaken the veil).
Marina heard a shout, then a thud, some footsteps, then nothing. She knew that a guard had seen James, but been immediately knocked down. She only hoped that another guard would not hear.
James saw a locked metal door. Two guards were standing outside of it. Was Thomas in there? The guards yelled and raised their guns and fired. James threw himself to the ground in a sliding tackle -- one of the darts ripped his sleeve -- and knocked one of the guards down. He kicked the other in the face and gave them both another good punch to make sure they were unconcious. But he could hear more yells down the hall. James cursed, put his hand on the door, concentrated for a moment, then slipped in. He locked the door behind him.
The cool liquid calmed Marina. She stood perfectly still and knew that she could not be seen without intense concentration on the onlooker's part. She relaxed, then tensed as she heard more shouts.
Raven heard gun shots, and winced. She hoped nothing was going wrong, or at least, to know what was happening.
Thomas heard gun shots and yells, distantly. Perkn obviously heard them too. He tilted his head, frowning. "What the h*** is going on?" he muttered. The big man got up from his chair and went out the door without a backwards glance.
Thomas strained to excersise his powers again. No such luck. Perkn had obviously disabled Thomas's abilities again.

James scanned the bare room quickly. No sign of Thomas's distinctive blond hair anywhere. But there was someone, curled up in a corner, obviously in great pain. "Raven?" James whispered.
"Crap, Raven!" James knelt by her side and gently took the chains off of her. "You need to get to a hospital!" But Thomas...
Raven felt a surge of fear trickle down her frail body, and then she muttered again,"..Shay...."
A guard ran into Shay's room, pointing a gun at her head. "Make another sound, and I'll blow your brains out," he snarled. Then he stuffed another gag in her mouth, but kept the gun pointing at her.
((HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))
The last scream made Raven wince, and then close her eyes and cover her ears. She was getting horrible headaches from that.

James gently picked up Raven in his arms. She felt so weak... "Come on, Raven. I can help Shay after you're safe." I'm sorry, Thomas. I won't leave you here.
((Shay's gonna get herself killed if she keeps this up...))
The guard's compainion, who had been fidgeting with something, turned around and slapped a piece of duct tape on Shay's mouth before she could say anything. "You just sit tight there, sweetie, and don't say a word," he said sweetly. The first guard grinned at Shay and made a great show of getting into a more comfortable position to keep the gun at her head.

James carefully slid open the door of Raven's cell, looked both ways, then ran down the hall. He came to an intersection and skidded to a halt -- a bunch of guys with guns stood there.
"DON'T MOVE--" one of them started to stay, but James threw a wall of stone up in his face and fled down the other hall. I'm gonna pay for all of this magic later, he thought. He got to the stairs that led out of this horrible place -- but -- "Marina?" he yelled, panicking.

Raven felt weaker by the second, and wanted to be able to help them get everyone and escape, but she couldn't move without getting a headache. She felt helpless for the first time in her life, and she hated it. She wished she could find whoever had done this to her, and kill them.
Marina recognized James's voice and almost stepped out of her veil to reveal herself to him. However, she was unwilling to risk being seen by a guard, so, while James passed, she stuck out her arm. She allowed for water to be lost from the veil. She hoped dreadfully that James would recognize this wetness as her and not attempt to kill her...((Hah! Marina can't talk right now...))
((Ha. Ha... not funny. Anyways, I meant that Marina can't talk because of the veil, so she has to hope that James understands her message... not like a message on the phone... without actually hearing her voice or seeing her.))
James felt the water wash over him and felt a wave of relief. "Marina," he said in an undertone, "Get Raven to a hospital as fast as you can, and do whatever else you can for her. I don't know what's wrong with her, but...she's obviously really hurt."
Raven looked at him, her once bright red eyes now a very dim brown. "James...don't let them hit you....with...the..." She felt the last of her energy run out, and then went unconscious.
