"We've got two." Marina explained. "Which would you like to try first?" she asked Thomas looking into his crazed expression.

((...Thomas is crazed?))
"Any of them," Thomas said, and slumped back down next to Raven. "...Raven says her eyes are acting up."
"Any of them," Thomas said, and slumped back down next to Raven. "...Raven says her eyes are acting up."
Raven nodded. She had her hands over her eyes, silent. She'd heard him, but was very caught up in the debate/rant she had going on in her head.
((Enough. He's worried, tired, and confused, isn't he? I don't know, but I just imagine him always with a mischievous grin on his face and his hair being messed up, since he controls wind and all.))Marina looked to Raven, and then back to Thomas. Marina squatted before Thomas, remote still in hand. "Which arm?"
((I'll be gone for about two weeks, so if you need Marina to do something that is like her, I'm fine with that. See ya in July!))
"This one," Thomas said, holding out his arm. It still hurt like hell, he thought.
Marina nodded and pressed the button. Thomas stiffened and a hiss of breath escaped his tightly clenched teeth.

Raven looked to James, hoping he was okay. She still had her hands over her eyes, though. "....James?"
"Raven." James dropped to his knees next to her, the remote falling to the floor, forgotten. "Are you okay? What's wrong with your eyes?"
"I don't know, it just hurts to open them....I think I saw...light, though.." She said, smiling stupidly now. She still had her hands over her eyes.
((I don't think James ever know that Raven was blind.))In the back of her mind, Marina wondered about Raven, but she concentrated on Thomas's fair arm. Slowly, a small gray chip came out of Thomas's arm as she held the button down. It clattered to the ground. Marina stared at it blankly and then looked into Thomas's eyes.
((I'll have to go back and read to see if he knew.))
"Light?" James started to repeat, when Thomas let out a loud cry.
"Yoooooooooooowww!!" Thomas yelled, clamping a hand over his arm. "Ow... holy crap..." he whimpered and nodded down at the chip. "Smash that thing," he gasped, tears in his eyes.

"Yeah, li--" Raven stopped mid sentence when she heard the sudden cry of pain. She looked over at Thomas instantly, asking,"Are you okay, Thomas?!"
"Fine," Thomas managed to say. "I'll be fine." He looked down at the chip again. "Just... get rid of that thing!"
"Sure, whatever you say," James said. He jumped up and stomped hard on the chip, breaking it to pieces. "Better?"

Marina didn't hesitate. She immediately whipped her backpack onto the ground in front of her and riffled through it's contents until she found a four foot rolled up bandage. She bound it tightly around Thomas's arm and, after pulling on a string to detach the excess, pinned the bandage to itself with a large silver safety pin.
Raven's eyesight came back all the way as soon as the chip had been crushed. She cried out and then blinked, looking around. "It's back..." She held a hand out infront of her face, as if to inspect it. I can see...
"Thanks," Thomas muttered, gingerly flexing his arm. "Ooh- shouldn't have done that."
James quickly collected the remains of the chip and stuffed them into a pocket. ((Let's assume he knew that she couldn't see, because I'm too lazy to go back and re-read our posts.)) "Are you okay?" he asked Raven. His concern was evident in his voice.

Raven smiled. "I'm very okay--I can see!" She lit her hand on fire. "And my magic is at full power!"
Marina jumped back in alarm. "Is," she stuttered, "something wrong with your hand?" the chestnut-haired girl asked Raven.
"Great," James said, "but you're still injured. In fact, you're all still injured. We need to get you to the hospital." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "And call the police on this place."
"Damn it," he's right,"If we call the police, they won't believe us, and I'd get taken back to that damned orphanage. We can't call them."
"How about an anonymous tip, then," James said, rubbing his eyes. "Thomas can do great impersonations - including the sound of a grown man's voice - and we don't have to say what they're doing. Just tell them to come down here and include that they're involved with the abduction of a minor."
((Idk. It would make sense if he was, since he's been beating evil guys left and right since the beginning of the roleplay...))
James shrugged. "Not my problem. Anonymous tip, remember? As long as they come here, that's fine with me. Anyway, I'm sure the henchmen will be happy to tell the police how we escaped." He yawned and looked at Marina. "And Marina - I was talking about the other guys."
"So let me get this clear," Thomas said, grimacing. "You want me to be the once to place the anonymous tip?"
"If you would be so kind," James said sarcastically. "After all you've helped us so far..."

"Right, so... Let's get out of here and find a phone." Marina closed her eyes and thought about how they had gotten in. "I know how to get out, so follow me." Marina turned left and embarked down a gray hallway.
James helped Raven to her feet and aided Thomas in getting up. "Think you can make it?" he asked them as they followed Marina.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Raven said, trying to ignore the bullet in her shoulder. "What about you, Thomas?"
"I think I'll manage," Thomas said, still stung by his friend's sarcastic remark. He'd been kidnapped, tortured, and threatened... but, he reminded himself, his friends were sure to have gone through worse things than him.
"And you, James?" Raven asked, a little thorn in her words as she spoke to him. She didn't like his sarcastic remark, nor did she think he had a right to even talk like that in a time like this.
"I'll be okay," James said, noticing her tone but oblivious as to the reason for it. "As long as I don't pass out from tiredness..." He attempted a joking grin.
((...James....))
((...James....))
Marina continued down the dank hall, staying out of her friends' argument."Get to the side." Marina commanded in a whisper, slamming herself against the nearest wall. Then, after a moment of silence, "Did you hear that?"
((I thought we beat them all up already. Do you want a fight?
Oh wait... Thomas has yet to show off his epic skillz. YES GUARDS!!))
James shook his head, but Thomas held up a finger and closed his eyes. Suddenly a small breeze sprang up, coming from around the corner and brushing across the kids' faces. Thomas opened his eyes and the breeze disappeared.
"There are five guards waiting for us just around that corner," he whispered. "They have guns and they'll fire as soon as they see us."
((hee hee... NO ONE ELSE do anything epic, Thomas gets to take care of this one...))

((Fine. But Marina is joining. Invisible!))"Alright," Marina whispered. "I'm going to veil myself with fog, so I'll have a surprise advantage." She, now invisible, headed around the corner.
((what?? but she can't help!! wind isn't precise. Thomas was just gonna blast them all down the corridor.))
((Well, she's coming, anyhow. Get Thomas to tell her to stop if you need to, but she's already stalking towards the guards.))
Marina whirled around and walked right up to Thomas, their noses almost touching. Staring intently at his blue eyes, she questioned him sharply, "You can't what?" She could hear the guards now and did not like this stalling.
"Wind isn't that precise," Thomas said quietly. "If you're down there with the guards, I won't be able to just take them out. You'll get hurt, too."
Thomas gave her a funny look but didn't say anything about the thought he had just heard. "Thank you." He stepped in front of Marina and raised his hands, keeping his elbows by his sides.
A couple of the guards noticed him. "It's the boy! He's escaped too!" They took out their guns and charged toward him. Thomas just grinned and extended his arms.
FWOOSH! A hurricane-force wind blasted all the guards down the hall, slamming them into the opposite wall. Thomas slammed them with another wind for good measure and they fell still, groaning.

((Woah. Thomas can read minds?))"Right, now let's get out of here," whispered Marina, grabbing Thomas's pale arm with an invisible hand.
((When the wind is blowing in the right direction... there must be some sort of vent nearby that's blowing air on Marina.))
"Uh...okay." Thomas tried not to react to the weird feeling that sprang up when Marina touched him.
((Noooooooo!! Not another crush!!! Oh, boys, you are such idiots...))
"We're almost there, Raven," James said gently, taking the girl's hand.

((You know Bobbie, as a writer, you are in control of your characters' minds.))Releasing her veil, Marina's form slowly materialized and she continued through the bleak building until finally the arrived at the gated entrance.
((In theory. In practice, it isn't as easy.))
"Anyone got a phone?" James asked, looking around. They really seemed to be in the middle of nowhere.

Raven narrowed her eyes, looking around. "I believe that there may be some kind of guard dog--" She spotted the beastie that had kidnapped her in the first place. "Erm...thing...."
((I see. Well, Marina has a crush on Thomas too.))"Yikes." A sound barely escaped Marina's lips.
((What should we do?))
((More fighting?? I'm actually getting tired of this, and I know my charries are.
And I thought she might! You don't know how happy this makes me...))
Anger burned in Thomas's eyes. "I'm not letting anyone - or anything keep me from getting back into civilization," he spat. "James, a hole, please."
James blinked but did as he asked. "There okay?" he asked, indicating the location.
