Marina walked as far away from James as she could get (the other wall of the chamber), while still being within earshot of Thomas. "So... Any idea where or what this weapon might be?"
Thomas looked at Marina, a bit startled. "Umm... depends. If it's still in development, it will be in a lab or something. But I doubt that. If it's in use, it will be somewhere above ground. But I don't think that either. So I'm guessing it will be in a safe room or something, wherever Perkn put it until he planned on using it."
"Maybe we can... search the walls for small compartments," Marina suggested.((I'm really confused! What is this weapon thing?))
((It's a robot. Well, to be more specific, an automata. It's like a humanoid robot. A battle angel. And this angel is filled with magic and science, making it perfect to wage war on the earth, all for world domination. Yay.))
"You know," Marina changed her mind, "A robot might be more of a camouflaged thing. Maybe we should just strain our eyes." Marina trailed off, she needed a response from Thomas.
Thomas shrugged. "I'm pretty good at noticing things. Which is bad in class. But good here. So, how about I just look around, and you can look for hidden rooms or something?..."
Thomas walked down the halls nervously. Missing his power made him feel... vulnerable. He was so used to being able to sense if a person was approaching them, sometimes even hear their thoughts, that not knowing who was around the next corner made him... kind of scared, actually.
"Raven! Let's go," James said, heading out the chamber. "I have a hunch where we might find this... where I left it, more likely," he mumbled.
She nodded, and then walked with him, still a bit mad about him and Marina. She was....very very very jealous.
James led the way down the many halls of the underground layer silently. The image of Thomas holding Raven's hand stayed in his mind. He couldn't get it out of his head.
((Zelda!!! Get over to Santa's elves rp now!!!))

So even though I have known him longer than she has, he went with HER. I can't believe this player!! She thought, not being able to stop thinking about him and Marina.
((Kk.))
((Kk.))
((FINALLY!))
"Here," James said abruptly as they arrived at the large metal door he had found with Marina earlier. "Let's just hope that Perkn is still unconscious." He couldn't help replaying Raven letting go of Thomas's hand, that guilty look on her face...
((Star-crossed lovers XD ))

She nodded, still keeping her mouth shut. She knew that if she had to say anything in order to answer him, she wouldn't be able to keep from saying something rash. The nerve of him....
"Be ready for fighting," James warned her, then, readying himself, swung open the door.
((Hmmm... do you think we should have them be attacked?))
((Hmmm... do you think we should have them be attacked?))
((YES!!! You really don't need to ask me that, cuz I will ALWAYS say yes.))
Raven nodded once more. She merely took a breath, bracing herself for anything.

"GET THEM!!"
James yelled and threw up a wall, barely keeping the sudden surge of men from pouring out the door. A few got through, though, and one gave James a hard punch to the head. He saw stars and fell back.

Raven heard the impact of fist to skull, and thought the worst. She went towards the sound of stumbling and caught James. She set him down against the wall, and then narrowly ducked a punch from a guard. She heard his fist barely miss her head, and in one motion, sent her fist flying into his gut, and then spin kicked his head, instantly knocking him out. She then advanced towards what she thought was a guard, and shot a flame from her hands at him.
James heard the sound of fighting and looked up. Dimly he saw Raven blasting a guard with flame. He smiled a little. That's my Raven, he thought. Then the smile was wiped off of his face as another man advanced on her from behind. Raven was too busy fighting to notice.
"NO!" James tightened his hands in the ground and the guard, about to smash Raven's head in, gave a sudden yell of surprise and disappeared underneath the earth.

Raven jumped a little by this, but quickly got back to fighting the crispy guard. He had pulled out a gun on her, and began to fire.
Raven accidentally missed one of the bullets, and was grazed on her shoulder by another. She was dodging blindly, hoping for the best. Oh, I am in such deep sh*t...

No... Raven... James twisted his hands in the earth, and all the guards above ground weren't, suddenly.
Raven heard the gunshots stop abruptly, and then paused. She ignored the pain in her shoulder, and listened for any other guards in the room. None.... "James.....where are you?" She asked, sounding a bit worried.
Marina hurried to stay close to Thomas; she didn't want to be alone in this labyrinth of slab walls.
"Over here," James said faintly. "Are you okay?"
--
Thomas stopped in his tracks and looked down the hall. "What's that?" he demanded.

Thomas stopped in his tracks and looked down the hall. "What's that?" he demanded.
"My shoulder got hurt, but other than that, I'm fine. What about you? You don't sound too hot." She said, walking towards the sound of his voice.
Marina had heard the same thing: a soft ping like small metal hitting small metal. It could have been anything in this metallic maze. "I don't know, I-" A black dot the size of a frisbee appeared on the wall beside her.((I'm not quite sure I'm getting the gist.))
"I don't feel too hot," James replied. "Kinda dizzy... my head hurts..."
--
((I don't quite know either...))
"Get down!" Thomas hissed and yanked Marina to the ground just as the dot exploded.

When the sound quieted, Marina looked up to see a--hole-- in the wall. Without thinking, she stuffed her hand inside and felt for anything sharp.((I think colorful smoke should come out the hole...))
((Okay!!))
Thomas watched as smoke drifted out of the hole, turning blue and pink and yellow and all sorts of other colors. I really hope this isn't toxic or anything, he thought.

Marina reached a small triangle and pulled on it. She succeeded in leaving it where it was and getting herself a one inch gash on her left middle finger. "There's a pyramid in there."
"Let me see." Thomas crouched down near the hole and peered inside. "If only I could use my power..."
When Thomas reached into the hole, she noticed strange colored smoke wafting out of it. Pink, and purple, and, yellow. "How strange," Marina mumbled. "Do you think water would help?" she asked the white blond-haired boy.
"I don't know," Thomas replied. "If whatever's in there is electronic, then it wouldn't help a bit. That would just short it out." He felt around until he located the pyramid, then pulled on it as hard as he could. It didn't move. Frowning, he felt around the base of the pyramid and behind it. His fingers found what felt like an imperfection in the plaster of the wall, and pushed against it. Click.
((Thomas has found a secret switch!!))
((Thomas has found a secret switch!!))
"Ow!" Thomas pulled back from the hole, shutting his eyes. ((What should the secret switch do?))
"Unless you have healing powers..." James closed his eyes and forced his mind to clear, dredging on the same warm power source he had found before. "I'll be all right now, I think." Slowly, he got to his feet, but once he was standing, almost collapsed.
Raven heard him lose balance and quickly caught him. But, in doing so, she accidentally brushed her lips against his cheek. Raven tried her hardest not to blush.
Marina waved her hands around until she found Thomas. Gripping his sweaty palm tightly, she whispered a question, "When do we open our eyes?"((Evil Robot Minion!!!!!!))
James started a little as Raven caught him, then fought the urge to blush, or, worse - kiss her back. "I'm fine," he said roughly, standing up again as fast as he could. This time, he didn't fall over. Realizing he was still holding onto Raven (he had reflexively grabbed her hand as he fell), he let go quickly.
--
Before Thomas could answer, a loud grinding noise sounded from in front of them. Thomas backed up hastily, pulling Marina with him, as the grinding noise continued. ((That's the sound of the robot unfolding and coming to life...))

A slate robot unfolded before Marina and Thomas, cranking as it went. When the noise dispersed, two laser red eyes shone through the color-changing smoke.((Ooh, dramatic.))
"Come on, let's go," James said, stepping cautiously inside the doorway. This was the same office he and Marina had found earlier, but in a serious mess. Unconcious Perkn was nowhere to be found. Dang it... of course, life can't ever be that easy, can it?
"Holy crap," Thomas said, pushing Marina reflexively behind him. "I think we've just found the robot."
Raven followed his footsteps, and ended up walking into the wall beside the doorway. She fell to the ground, feeling extremely stupid, and then got to her feet. She then walked into the room, trying to forget about that fail.
