Marina cradled her hand to herself. After such work, it was sore and tired. She shook her hand and head simultaneously, her hand to relieve the pain and her head to lessen the flow of water energy into her body. She blinked and stared at the floor. Marina took small but quick steps alongside the trickle of water still on the floor.

"What's that water coming from?" James asked, striding along beside Marina. "Is a toilet backed up or something?" Unknowingly he pictured the same scene that Thomas had and laughed aloud.
((Amazing.))
Suddenly Raven and Thomas emerged from the darkness of the hallway before them. She heard James, and looked in his direction, smiling. "Heya, guys..."

((Embarrassing crush time!!!))
"Raven!" James hugged her tightly before realizing how odd that would seem and then let go quickly. "Uhhh...I'm glad you guys are okay!"

Thomas smirked at his friend. James and Raven, sitting in a tree... he mouthed. James flipped him the finger.

((YES!!)
Raven blushed, and looked away quickly. "Y--yeah, ditto. Nice going with unlocking Thomas, too..." She said, trying to keep up the act. Although, she clearly missed Thomas mouthing that song, and James'....rude gesture...

((James is usually very nice but he's all nervous with worry and shaky with relief and other stuff is messing with his emotions so his reactions are kinda on the extreme side right now...))
"Thomas," James said, pretending he hadn't just flipped off his friend and grinning like crazy. "Good to see you walking around again."
"Thomas," James said, pretending he hadn't just flipped off his friend and grinning like crazy. "Good to see you walking around again."
Marina felt excluded. She crammed herself in an invisible corner and listened. Then, feeling the need to introduce herself and make Raven aware of her presence, Marina spoke. "Thomas, I'm Marina." As she said this, Marina looked into Thomas's wild blue eyes; it was no wonder he could control wind.
Thomas nodded to Marina and smiled politely - at least he hoped he was polite. "Nice to meet ya," he said. "So, you do water stuff?"
A crazy wicked smile played across Thomas's face, but Marina could tell it was meant kindly. "Yeah," she responded, casting a glance down her shoulder.
James's eyes tracked Raven's hand and he suddenly felt angry. Stop it, James, one part of him admonished. She probably had a perfectly good reason for holding his hand.
Like what? the other part of him yelled. That...that...
Like what? the other part of him yelled. That...that...
"Are you okay, James?" Thomas asked. Remembering that his friend had a crush on Raven, he felt color rise to his face. Oops...
"Well, 'scuse me if that slipped my mind," James said angrily. He turned to Marina. "D'you think Perkn is still out cold where you left him?"
"Slipped your mind?" Thomas retorted, ignoring Marina. "That was the entire reason you left me in that chair!!"
Raven stepped back. "Please, calm down, both of you. Fighting won't solve any of this," she said, trying to keep herself from yelling.
James looked at Raven furiously, then suddenly all the anger went out of him. "I'm sorry," he said wearily, rubbing his temples. "It's just...there's a lot of stuff happening, you know?"
Raven nodded. Boy, did she know. "James, it's okay, let's just figure out what our next move is."
"Perkn? Uhh, probably not. My guess is that he's awake but probably still confused. I doubt he could find anything, but I also doubt he would recognize us as enemies." Why was Raven holding Thomas's hand? I thought she liked James... Marina pondered. "I think now is the time to leave," proclaimed Marina. "Maybe some... wind can heal Thomas," Marina said brightly.
Thomas refrained from rolling his eyes with difficulty. "It might, except that 1) there's no wind down here, and 2) the chances anything magical and wind-related happening to me are nil without my powers."
"Which is why we need to go find Perkn and whatever it is that will deactivate the magic-canceler. I'm really sorry about that, Thomas," James said. "I would have Raven and you go back out of here, where it'll be more safe, but..."
"Not down here, I meant after we had left," Marina retorted. "The thing is-" Marina paused, "What does Perkn have to do with this? I thought we were trying to stay away from him. Doesn't the remote have the ability to deactivate the chip?" Marina whipped out her note-pad and flipped the pages anxiously.
"Perkn was using children, and possibly adults, with magickal abilities to take away their abilities and use that energy to make some sort of super weapon to take over the world." Raven said, her voice dipping a bit. I should know, that's how I lost my eyesight. B@stard.
James sighed. "I don't know. Does it? Remember, we just pressed the buttons on all those remotes we found and then went to go find Thomas. Which means...crap."
"Yes," James said crossly. "We didn't know which one was the one for Thomas!"
"So all the prisoners and everything locked in this place is now unlocked..." Thomas looked at James with an eyebrow raised.
"So all the prisoners and everything locked in this place is now unlocked..." Thomas looked at James with an eyebrow raised.
James and Thomas looked at each other and instantly formed a plan. "Marina, you and Thomas go back to where we left those remotes and see if you can find a way to turn off his power-disabler," James ordered. "Search the secret office, too. Raven, you and I will go find this weapon and destroy it in any way we can. We'll use the guards' walkie-talkies to keep in touch. Just remember to talk in code."
Raven paled. She knew she wouldn't be able to work alone. She couldn't navigate through these halls without a partner, so how would she be able to disable a weapon?! "I....I can't." She said, dreading those words.
James looked at Raven with concern. "Why not?" ((She's not going to be alone, she'll have James for a partner...))
((Yeah, but walkie talkies makes it seem like they'll get separated. Plus she might accidentally hit something other than the weapon.))
"I...ugh, d*mn it, I'm blind, James." She said, getting it over with. She was tired of hiding it. Please don't kill me...

"Blind?" James blinked and looked around. Thomas was staring determinedly at the ceiling. "Oh my god, why didn't you tell me?" He took Raven's shoulders gently and stared into her eyes. "How did this happen?"
Raven looked down. "When Perkn kidnapped me, he took most of my energy so fast that I...Well, I lost my eyesight..." She said, trying not to sound hopeless. "I didn't want you to know."
"Um, James?" Marina interrupted Raven's embarrassment, "Thomas and I can't get in there without you, remember? There's a solid rock wall between the rest of this maze and the secret chamber."
((Is James talking to Marina? And yes, there is a solid rock wall, remember? Marina only got through by holding James's hand.))
((James doesn't think there was a rock wall, he only saw a door. And yes, he's talking to Marina.))
Now it was Raven's turn to be pissed. He held....HER hand?! Her eyes were filled with a rage, but her face remained blank. She was now very annoyed and....hurt.
((I knew that was going to happen! Also, awesome sentence: "Her eyes were filled with a rage, but her face remained blank."))
Raven was fuming inside. She was very jealous of Marina. But, even though she was enraged, she kept a calm face plastered onto her head.
