Will you come back after we start the book this month and discuss it with us? You can tell us what you think on the escort topic, before and after you read the book.

I liked the plot of FFG. I`m put it in my TBR!

Thanks for the rec - I'm going to check this book out.

Yes, I would love to join the discussion group. I may even do a quick reread beforehand.

How about you Rossy? Have you read it yet?

I haven't read it yet, but i still have a few other books i need to finish for other challenges.
Lets try for the first week of May then. Just post here and let me know when you get your copy.

Oh good, i hope you can join in the discussion once we start reading it!

Will do! I can't wait! :)

Hi Kim! I hope you decide to order this and read with us! I would love to hear your thoughts!

*****Spoilers galore! Beware! :) ******
So this was good, I liked it and I am glad I read it, but.... I don't know, it was a bit off for me. The story was solid, I liked the characters very much, and many of the scenes seemed so genuine and loving they made me smile (I loved the scene where he finds her keys for her mid conversation and hands them to her w/o her having to ask). But, but, but.... arg! I cant quite put my finger on it. I feel like in some ways it lacked subtlety, things are over explained and the characters are a bit too mature and understanding. For example when he gives her a hard time for being upset that his pimp called after they made love just a few short hours later she is really reasonable enough to calmly admit that is not fair of her because she knew what she was getting into and then to calmly give him her ultimatum, really? She does not even get a day or two to be unreasonably angry at him for not reading her mind and offering to quit w/out her having to ask? I don't know, it's just too tidy in a way for a very messy and complicated situation.
And the end... OMG I could have screamed! You just can not end the last chapter of a book with one of the (granted small side) characters in an unknown situation w/out resolution! The epilogue is for a snap-shot of the HEA, not for conflict resolution! How did she think it was ok to have Adam call Ryan in the last chapter saying he needs help and end it w/out us knowing what happened, if he was ok and what Ryan does to help him! These are not things to be addressed in an epilogue!!! Oh that really pissed me off! Not to mention the rest of the epilogue was just one long conversation of "oh did I tell you this good news?" " oh did I tell you that good news?".... we learn that Sara got a very large book deal, Ryan got a raise because he put his old contact from escorting to good fund raising use, Adam ended up accepting help from safehouse, they are going to be married by a Rabbi, Adam is the best man, Catherine's business went under, oh yeah and they are going to buy a house and go on a lavish honeymoon (did I forget anything?) that is a lot to cram into a very short epilogue and just exhausting and annoying to read if you ask me.
I love reading a good unconventional romance and this really delivered as far as that goes. In some ways it was handled so well and seemed so genuine, but in other ways it was really just frustrating to me. I enjoyed it as I was reading it (until the very end) but really, now after the fact, the more I think about it, the less I like it. Gosh, I sound like such a brat! lol
Thank you so much Rossy for starting this dare :) I am glad I got to try something new and different!

Ok, don't kill me BUT i have not been able to read it this month. It has been a little crazy at work and other things going around, not to mention i just have not been in the mood for this kind of story.
I'm glad you mentioned the conflict that was resolved in the epilogue, as that would have made me quite upset.
I will try to fill this book in next month though for sure!

I know how that goes when you want to read something but not right now for whatever reason so don't worry about it Rossy! I look forward to hearing what you think of it when you do get to it so be sure to come back and comment!!! :)

Plot:
A woman who's made mistakes. A man with too many secrets. Will love be their second chance or their downfall?
While trying to save her spiraling career, Sara Diamond befriends her new next door neighbor, Ryan Kinsmore. A soft-spoken younger man with charm and good looks, Ryan leads a mysterious double life which becomes increasingly hard for him to conceal from Sara as their intimacy grows.
Even after Ryan falls in love with her and stops pretending to himself that this isn't wrong, that Sara won't be hurt by their relationship, he can't give her up or walk away.
As Sara learns the truth about him, trapped in a world of lies, danger, and sex-for-hire, Ryan becomes determined to find a way out of the life he was drawn into as a runaway minor, and equally determined to rescue a street kid whom he finds falling into the same traps which once caught him. But Ryan's secret life is lived in a ruthless world which won't easily let him go. Having fallen so far from grace, can he find his way back?
