I haven't watched the contestants do the Stones yet, but when I learned they'd tackle Stones songs, I figured only 2 or 3, if that many, could actually get away with it.
Ugh. This is just...wrong. These great songs turned into jackass karaoke. Wrong.
stones suck anyway. i never could stand them. these were bad renditions too. stone cold suck

Got around to watching the Stones episode. Some of the contestants were truly bad. One girl, Siobhan, on the other hand, totally smoked Paint it, Black.
I like Siobhan's personality. It's right out there for all to view. Our favorite voice on Idol so far is Crystal.
Okay, so I don't watch the show, but I have checked out the website to watch the performances. Crystal knocks it out of the park every time. And I like Michael, too... the rest are forgettable pop performances. Sioban's voice would be perfect for theatre, musicals, stage #s, and I love her look (and her name), but her pitch is a bit too whiny for my taste.
I'll admit I'm not all that crazy about Siobhan. She has a powerful voice, but she needs some work on harnessing it. Plus, she seems slightly kooky, which may or may not work for her.I'm still furious that Lilly got voted off. She and Crystal were my front runners. The guys, on the other hand, are all forgettable. Sure, Big Mike has a ton of personality, but at the end of the day, he's a decent singer, but not anyone I'd pay to hear perform.
I was sad when Alex got voted off. He was so darn cute and I loved his voice.They did mostly butcher the Stones. I prefer when they pick a theme. I'm usually disappointed when they all do one artist.

thank you KD. i never was a stones fan but they were at least doing it cool about until beast of burden.i don't like when they take a group or artist and then have to do their songs anyway. i would rather see them tackle an era or genre. actually, the more i think about it, i couldn't give a flying flapjack about idol anyway
man man man. that was the BEST idol audition ever KD. i am still laughing. i seldom get a good chick giggle going but i am snickering like a school girl over that clip. i just wish he had a bat or a pigeon to bite at the end. that totally gassed him out eh? i thought he was going down
I'll be the first to admit the Stones are a good 25 years past their sell-by date, but whoever came up with the bright idea to have the "Idol" kids tackle the Jagger/Richards songbook should be pilloried in Hyde Park and flogged for 40 days and 40 nights.
