The book follows Mozart's life and career from birth to death. What I do remember is that I picked up the book in the "literature" section of the library and it was a novelized version of things, with fictionalized dialogue and stuff.The cover of the book was off white with gold lettering (I think?). I cannot remember the title or the author's name.

I read the book sometime around 1997-1998.
Sacred and Profane a Novel of the Life and Times of Mozart? (this cover: http://www.amazon.com/Sacred-Profane-...)There are some other options (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozart_i...), but the Weiss one seems most likely.
