Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Did you know? I didn't until I saw goodreads author Darnell Arnoult's blog post, http://darnellarnoult.com/wp/?p=253.

And this year's theme is "Writing Women Back Into History." Fantastic site @ http://www.nwhp.org/

Cindy (cyndil62) | 1774 comments Thanks for sharing this Jo! I am so glad that you shared the link for Darnell Arnoult's web page and blog; it's great and makes me want to start reading Sufficient Grace: A Novel next!

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) I love Darnell's blog and Sufficient Grace. She's a great writer!

Ella (ellamc) I just received The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks from a pre-order I made ages ago. I can't do her story justice, but it's a tremendous true tale of history, medicine and a family learning about their legacy while the book was being written (supposedly. I've not read the book, but I kept up on the progress of the book while it was being published, and just reading articles about it was tremendously moving.) We all owe Henrietta Lacks a huge debt of gratitude, and I at least owe her a read -- so if anyone wants to read with me, I'd love someone to talk to about it.

Sounds very interesting!
