13) A Tugging String: A Novel About Growing Up During the Civil Rights Era: A Novel About Growing Up During the Civil Rights Era-June 29, 2010- GA Book Award Nominee. This book was an "okay" attempt to chronicle the Voting Rights struggle in the '60s.

14) Abrahams Well: A Novel-July 3, 2010-Interesting historical novel that follows the life of a woman enslaved by Cherokee Native Americans.

15) Hummingbird-July 7, 2010- GA Book Award Nominee. Heartfel novel that deals with loss and friendship.

16) Camilla's Roses-July 7, 2010- A brush with breast cancer forces a young African American woman to acknowledge and accept her past. Great book!

17) All the Lovely Bad Ones-July 8, 2010-GA Book Award nominee. Good ghost story for middle graders.
