Marlene Slade (marlenekslade) | 5 comments The momma dragon in the movie The Dragon Slayer. Great creature work to make it look very real.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

I LOVE TEMERAIRE!!! The next book comes out July 13th!!
I like the dragon (name escapes me) in Gail Carson Levine's The Princesses of Balimarre, and the dragon in T. A. Barron's Lost Years of Merlin series, the parent one. *sniff* I cried for both, and I've cried while reading fiction about four times (Where the Red Fern Grows being one of them). WHY do the dragons always have to die??

message 15: by Aviva (new)

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
I read the Princesses of Balimarre but it was a while ago and I can't remember it. :(

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Not the greatest book, but one of her best, in my opinion. :) And, I liked the dragon (obviously).

message 17: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 10 comments Alyssa from the truth series is my fav dragon!

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Never heard of that series - who's the author?

message 19: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 10 comments Dawn Cook!

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Gymn from Dragonspell. He is sooooooo funny. I mean really a dragon who faints when he gets scared.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

He's pretty awesome :)

message 22: by Aviva (new)

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
GYMN! He is cool. What was it? He fainted, woke up and remembered what happened, and fainted again. lol

message 23: by F.J. (new)

F.J. Hansen (fjhansen) | 27 comments It's so hard to choose one, but I'd have to say Toothless from the movie How to Train Your Dragon.

Draco (Dragonheart) and Wistala (Age of Fire) would be runner-ups, though.

message 24: by Aviva (new)

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
Toothless is pretty cool

message 25: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) I would have to say my favorite dragon is Ardeo but Gymn is very unforgettable.

message 26: by Aviva (new)

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
from Dragonkeeper? I wouldn't be able to decide. All of her minor dragons were pretty cool

message 27: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) Yea, I liked all the minor dragons in it, but I loved how Ardeo glowed in the dark and it was heartbreaking when he died.

Lizzy wrote: "I like Raxtus from Fablehaven <3
Saphira from Eragon's cool too XD"

Raxtus was cool. He was sorta half dragon half fairy
SAPHIRA!!! I want the last eragon to come out

message 29: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) I can't wait for the last in the inheritance series to come out either, Saphira is amazing.

The different dragon hoards in dragon slippers made me laugh.

message 30: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) lol, defiantly. Do you think it smelled at all in there?

message 31: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) Lol, true to that. :)

message 32: by F.J. (new)

F.J. Hansen (fjhansen) | 27 comments Hey, you can vote for your own dragons?

In that case, I will add Varthikes from Draconia: Forging Trust to my list.

Also, Ruth from Dragonriders of Pern and Temeraire.

isn't one Nina? or Niva or something?

message 45: by Corazon (new)

Corazon (corazonsliterature) I like a lot of dragons from different books.
I like some because of their attitude, their looks, their behavior, etc.

At moment I laugh my ass of with the Dragon Kin series from G.A. Aiken. They are absolutley wonderful.

message 46: by Corazon (last edited Sep 10, 2010 03:09PM) (new)

Corazon (corazonsliterature) Lizzy,
if you want, I can give you the first one as ebook (PDF). So you can see, if you like them.
But I must say, the first book is not so good as book 2, 3 or 4. The best is book 3 What A Dragon Should Know (Dragon Kin, #3) by G.A. Aiken

The Dragon Kin series is full of humor, love, passion, the dragons has some serious attitudes, they are annoying, they are absolutely amazing.

Amy | 4 comments I really liked Copper from EE Knights Dragon series, at first he seems like a bad guy, but your opinion changes as you read the books and get to his story.
