UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments This month’s book challenge will span 2 months and run from April 1st - May 31st.

Read 4 or more books.

Books should reflect the months of April or May in these ways...

Covers with the words April, Showers, Bring, May, Flowers, or Spring on them.

Covers are mostly one one of the colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo or Violet.

Covers that have images of flowers or clouds, rain or rainbows.

Stories that take place in the spring.

Books that were published in April or May, of any year.

Books that have to do with May Day celebrations or any holiday that occurs during those months.

Characters or authors named April or May.

Any book you are reading ON your birthday.

As with our last challenge, if you can tie your book into this theme - April, May, or Springtime - in any way, it will count.

Also, any book you are reading on April 15th will count. I mean it is tax day after all and we should be able to expect something good to happen on that day.

Be bold! Be daring! Use your imagination and go wild!

Gah! Tell me about it. Hopefully our little "whatever you're reading on the 15th" will help some.

message 5: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (ghemomma) | 900 comments I'm in! We did our taxes already, usually we procrastinate but this year we were on top of things! You should add anything read on May 21 counts because it is my birthday- I've always thought it should be a national holiday, of course the older I get the less I want to celebrate!

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 469 comments My birthday is April 15 :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Cheryl - MY birthday is April 23rd, my anniversary is May 10th, Mother's Day is right around there so from April 1st (the entire month of my birthday) thru May 31st, it's refered to as High Holy Days here at my house :)

message 9: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I'm going to add Anything Read ON Your Birthday as one of the suggestions for books that would count.

Glad to have you with us! The guidelines are easier than they were for All Things Irish, so hopefully you won't have too much trouble working things in.

I'd love to get some suggestions :)

Sure, feel free to list books. I'm also hoping that just looking at other people's choices will help.

Another thing that should help make this easy is the cover color option. For example, I know many of us are waiting for Lover Mine which released April 27th. The color of that cover, as you can see, is red, which counts. Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward

message 17: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited Mar 10, 2010 07:49AM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments More suggestions - These books are in the Rose/Clayborne Brides series:

For the Roses which is one of my absolute favorite "feel good" reads,
Come the Spring,
One Pink Rose,
One White Rose,
One Red Rose,
or the complilation of the above 3 stories - The Clayborne Brides: One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose

- all of those books have ROSE in the title and roses on the covers.

The Clayborne Brides One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose by Julie Garwood For the Roses (Rose, #1) by Julie Garwood Come the Spring (Rose, #5) by Julie Garwood One Pink Rose (Rose, #2) by Julie Garwood One White Rose (Rose, #3) by Julie Garwood One Red Rose (Rose, #4) by Julie Garwood

Let me know how you like Roses. I think I may give it a try, but I am unsure. I'd love to hear what you think of it.

Add them all at once or as you go, it matters not to me! Honestly, I end up changing books so often, I'd be better off just to post them when I'm done. LOL
