yep. the description says it's "an epic four book series." what does everyone think of the new time period? I like that these are set in New York, like The Luxe.

Kimberleigh | 6 comments yeah, that'll be cool. but i hope it's not too similar to the Luxe, because some of it sounds the same.

Here's the synopsis:

Bright Young Things is the first in an epic four-book series about three teenage girls finding their way in the glittering metropolis of New York City and the glamorous mansions of Long Island. It’s 1929 and Letty Larkspur and Cordelia Grey have escaped their small Midwestern town to chase big dreams and even bigger secrets. In New York, they meet Astrid Donal, a flapper who has everything she could ever want, except for the one thing Letty and Cordelia have to offer—true friendship. Set in the dizzying summer before the market crash, against the vast lawns of the East End and on the blindingly lit stages of Broadway, the three girls will find romance, intrigue, and adventure.

Just as The Luxe books brought the Gilded Age to readers of Gossip Girl, Bright Young Things will bring the Jazz Age to bestselling author Anna Godbersen’s devoted fans and to new readers alike.

It sounds pretty different from The Luxe actually. I noticed they don't mention any guy characters?

So far I don't know of a website with info about it except this one (goodreads) and harperteen.com, which only has the little blurb. But if Anna Godbersen makes an official website, I'll definitely post an update.

Carly | 3 comments Ooh, those could be a lot of fun. I love that time in history.

Lora Strum (livinginmymind) | 6 comments Omg..I'm so excited to read this series! It sounds so different from luxe, but still bound to be a good read. It actually sounds like the three girls will have the same friendship as in A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. But, of course, Anna Godbersen always paints a story where the characters are three-dimensional and she surprises you. I cannot wait to see what she does with the Jazz Age...
