So, talks have been going that there will be a meet up sometime this year. It is a proposal since time immemorial ever since I've joined this group but for some reason the plan always fizzles... just talks... yada..yada..yada..yada...

Spurred by a broken(?) knee and a visit from a resident doctor yonder in St. Lukes, it has come to my attention Supreme Lord Invay... errr... what you humans call by the sane Baltic name jzhunagev, that people are clamoring for a meet-up, a reunion (as some of you have called), or an eyeball (for all of those potential partners that we'll tout as this group's first love-team, yihhee!! ♥♥♥) and now with my supreme Power of creating/opening thread I'm opening this topic! (Baritone voice for good reading effect...ahihihi!! ☺☺☺)

So....

Are you up for a meet-up?

When do you want it to occur? Judging that it isn't the end of the world yet. Or will we wait for Armageddon or the Kingdom Come for this, our, plans to get to fruition?

Who are those potential creatures who will be my phalanx of soldiers when my planet invades the Planey (really it's just a small planet...) Horkluff?

err....

I mean...

Who are those willing people who will want to attend the said event?

Are there some task delegation regarding food, the place where will it happen and any other stuff I've overlooked as of this post?

Yup, i totally agree, Rockwell is not a good place (still giggling at the thought about security people breaking us because a usual Rockwell customer heard laughters in the corridor, apparently, laughter does not mix well with her tea.)

How many people are in favor for a meet up in Quezon City? We can hold it in UP Diliman, students there do not care about boisterous laughters. Or QC circle, have you seen the place lately? nice vast lawns. Of course if we hold it in these places, expect it to be a "picnic" type of party.
I therefore suggest the following, hmmm...
potluck works most of the time unless someone here is into catering, it won't hurt. Bringing money to chip in the load is lighter than carrying a casserole.
timing the event is essential, it creates the mood for the whole thing, if we schedule it in the morning, we can actually stretch the meeting till lunch and even do it for one whole day. the problem though is that noon and the sun are a very hot pair, catching heat stroke is not very cool. Unless, of course people do not mind getting a tan and we get lots of refreshments.
If ever, we do it late in the afternoon, we need to relocate once evening comes. No matter how many people insist that candlelit dinner with talks looks romantic, it won't if you're in the middle of a field, and also, dried grass and candles do not make a good pair. Besides, I think the Circle closes at night.
Or maybe, someone has a friend who owns a cozy coffeeplace who is willing to reserve a certain number of tables for one laughing crowd. the place is intimate enough for a meet up and not too vulgar for other customers.
These are my thoughts, if people decide to meet in a comedy bar or in a different planet(wink, wink), i'd still go as long as I'm not on duty.

I think we should first lists who are the attendees then we'll decide base on the number., like if there's 5 from Manila then 2 from Quezon City then the place should be closer to Manila and stuffs like that to decide.,

Second thing, the date should be agreed at least one month before so everyone could clear their schedules for that date. I personally suggest Sunday cause I know some people here works on Saturdays. I also think we should held it this summer so the students won't be bothered from their loads of schoolworks.

If anyone would agree, the labor day which is a Saturday, sounds good to me. Any ideas more for the date?

game! I don't care where the venue is as long as it is in Metro Manila. I'm a loyal commuter who believes that I'll never be lost as long as I can find my way to any MRT/LRT station. As in, they're the best landmark here in Manila.
but I'm partial to having it in QC, I can stay out late without the hassle of thinking how to go home (mahal taxi from MOA going to QC ha.)

I'm sorry but I'm too far away from QC, given that we'll this on a Sunday. I even dared to go to Bookay-ukay once but my cowardliness got the better of me 'coz I might get lost. And what's more depressing is that some of the books in Bookay-ukay is expensive in comparison to Booksale. So I've decided maybe it's not worth the trip.

But on anyday, someone might prove me wrong about going to Bookay-ukay. ☺☺☺

But seriously kung di kalayuan sa Quezon city game ako. Huwag nga lang sa mga parteng Pa-Novaliches na... Malayo na ko don ehh... Ok lang din sa QC Circle. I think the place is much more conducive rather than Luneta. Pero naranasan ko nang magbasa sa isang malamlam na hapon sa Luneta. Nakakainis nga lang kasi andaming nanlilimos sa kin kaya ayun lumipat na lang ako ng lugar. Pumunta na lang ako sa Robinsons. Ahehehehe! Sana dun tayo sa place na walang ganun. Sa dami ng mamamalimos sa tin tiyak ko mauubos ang pera't pagkain natin. Nakakaawa naman kung itatatboy natin yung mga tao. I think we should choose a place that'll leave us be and let us be. (Whatever that means!)
