I personally prefer this translation rather than "Karimi"'’s one. Salinger grabs the reader, by language rather than narrative. Njafi tries to recreate Holden’s lingo in a Farsi Lumpen version, and more or less, saves the atmosphere. But Karimi totally transformed it into a loose structure language, which is supposed to be a working class people’s language but it isn’t.
