Okay, these three are best friends, and they need some insiders jokes/shared obsessions/stuff like that. Any ideas?

Yeah, a band would work. Perhaps not Never Shout Never, though...I'm not very familiar with them :S

what kind of music do they like?
Well, Piper likes the same bands I do (Rolling Stones, Queen, and Paramore), Felix is really into this Japanese group the Pillows (plus he thinks Avril Lavigne's hot), and I'm not really sure what Bailey likes.
