I didn't realize it was his birthday on Tuesday. I would have worn my "thing 1 thing 2" shirt.

We have a Mulberry street here in town. When I was little my sister and I thought this book was about OUR Mulberry street, and thus it was one of our favorites.

Arminius Dr Seuss books are one of the best ways to introduce children to reading. They are fun.

Mary JL (maryjl) | 250 comments Most of Suess's books were for younger readers but for abut 2nd or 3rd grade, he wrote an neat book called "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins" which our teacher read to us years ago and it's alway been a favorite. Also, the Cat in the Hat, of course!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8993 comments I love the Cubbins book, too, Mary JL! There are two kinds of Seuss books, the easy readers like Cat in the Hat, and the longer ones, like Cubbins, and Horton Hears a Who.
My favorite is Green Eggs and Ham. It's so quotable!
