Aw shoot! I was thinking that wedding night with another woman one sounded intriguing, but then saw it was Lee Wilkinson, who I find unreadable.
Same here. I was ecstatic when I 1st saw Kim Lawrence & got deflated when it's a Sheikh book. Darn.
You anti-Sheikh too? I don't absolutely refuse to read them, but they generally put me off.
I love Sheikh books for some reason. Even though most of them are bad, I keep searching for the rare gem.Just a warning, Sara Craven's The Innocent's Surrender apparently has a rape scene as the first love scene according to Dear Author.
For some reason, a lot of these books sounded really good to me so I will have to try to control my Kindle one-click button.
Seton wrote a review on Sara Craven book. I'm not surprised 'cuz her books have some forced seduction scenes.I've read some Sheikh books just 'cuz they're written by my auto-buy authors & 'cuz I'm OCD, just gotta read every single 1 of my fav authors' backlist but nowadays I tend to steer clear in general LOL... Nothing wrong w/ sheikh theme, to each her own. I'm not into westerns either but I've read some too.
OMG if I have Kindle, I'd end up in a homeless shelter, I swear. There'll be no stopping me from clicking away. I'm already in deep $hit having ebooks. I need to stay away from my laptop =^P

I love Sara Craven too. I think my first book by her was Moth to A Flame. A very old HP. I keep her stuff with some of my other older keeper books.

It's uncanny how we have such things in common, Lynsey. LG is one of my faves, although sometimes I get frustrated with some of her persistent plot points.
Which ones don't U have, D ? I can loan U my copies 'cuz I got everything on her backlist, if I'm not mistaken. I luv SC to pieces.If U've read 'His wedding-nite heir', U'll know the ending of SC - TIS. It's similar, as in, hero has had the hots for young heroine @ 1st sight (think Johnny Depp & Vanessa Paradis), hero had asked for heroine's guardian's approval to officially court heroine but instead, was threatened to stay the hell away from her or else... I gotta say that I was kinda creeped out in the beginning by something that hero did. I'm not even talking 'bout the typical forced seduction scene =^D Yez, I'm a 12 y/o @ heart, going on 60. I luv the 'luv @ 1st sight' theme. Usually when a hawt guy takes a glimpse of me across the room, he runs the other way as fast as his wheels can carry him =)~

lol @"skanky" HP's are totally my guilty pleasure. I really need to work on the rest of my TBR list and stop picking these up lol I've already read "Claiming His Wedding Night", and just picked up "Greek Tycoon, Inexperienced Mistress".
Housework can wait, huh? :P
ETA Ahhh I can see being a member here will be detrimental to my wallet. I went ahead and bought The Innocent's Surrender as well since y'all talked it up so much :P

I told my husband I joined this group and he just rolled his eyes and shook his head lol. He just doesn't get it *sigh* :PI think you'll like the SC one... :) Though I admit there was so much talk about him being a manwh*ore at the start of the novel that I actually thought to myself hat I'd be less concerned about a possible unplanned pregnancy and way more concerned that it would soon start to burn when I peed lol!
I hope you don't mind me popping by, but I just wanted to say how absolutely fantastic it is to find such an active community for readers of Harlequin Presents! I love Presents (which I guess is why I ended up writing them:) and it's great to meet other readers. Keep up the great work!

I read The Sheikh's Impatient Virgin by Kim Lawrence yesterday. I really liked it, some witty dialogue, 4*.I'm now reading Sara Craven's The Innocent's Surrender.

Sheikhs and royals are my least favorite HP themes. I only read one of the Karedes series and it was because iMelanie Milburne's The Future King's Love-Child, which featured Sebastian and Cassie. I mean that's 1 out of 12 books that were offered.
I wonder whazzup w/ the "impatient" on KL's title. I'm tempted to read even tho' sheikh isn't my cuppa.
love the sheikh's books, there were a couple of early Lynne Graham's books that had sheikhs as the hero and loved them.reading a KIM LAWERANCE right now with the hero . you guessed it , a sheikh!
Per my shelves, I've only read a whopping 6 Sheikh books. Mayhap more but I've donated 'cuz they're usually not re-read keepers.
