I am nominating

Julia Quinn. Quinn is my favorite Regency author. Her books just sparkle. I love her sophisticated wit and droll sense of humor. I would strongly recommend her Bridgerton series for their warmth, family ties, and mystery. Who is Lady Whistledown? You don't find out until book four -- but an astute fan will guess before then.
