Dani walked down the street. She'd been hearing about people with mutant powers. She didn't want to be caught by one of them. What if they hurt her?
Fti walked around town. He was suddenly thrown backwards off his feet. ((sometimes his possesser comes back for a sec like that))
Dani saw a guy fall. She ran over to him. "Are you okay?" She asked, kneeling next to him.
Fti was stunned. "Do you know what just happened?" he asked the girl.
"Um.. you sorta fell... backwards." She didn't know if it was a stupid mutant's doing or if he slipped on something. She looked into his eyes. "So you are okay?"
Fti shook his head to get rid of the stars. "I think so."
Dani smiled. She held out her hand to help him up. "I'm Dani."
"Thanks," he said, standing up. "I'm Fti."
Dani thought about it. "That's a very unique name."
Dani backed away from him to look him over. She studied his eyes, hair, face, and clothing. She smiled after a while.
Fti watched as Dani studied him. "What are you smiling at?" he asked.
Dani blushed. "N-nothing. I just...nothing." She looked away. "It was nice to meet you, Fti."
Fti nodded. "You too. I'll see you around, I guess."
"Yeah." She started to back up to go to the other side of the street, not noticing the car approaching at full speed.
((oh crap))"Dani!" Fti yelled. "Watch out!"
Fti saw that Dani didn't hear him and that she was about to get run over. He rushed to where she was and pulled her out of the way.
Dani's eyes widened as he grabbed her and the car rushed by, making her hair follow it in haste. Her heart beat increased as she found she was now underneath Fti. She blushed and moved out from under him. "What just happened?!"
((oops didnt mean that))Fti stood and helped her up. "You walked out in the middle of the road with a car coming full speed at you. Nothing, really." He shrugged it off nonchalantly, being a joker.
Dani's heart rate had gone down. "But, there was no car when I... I mean, I didn't hear it, and..."
"Um... thanks." She said. She felt stupid. Why she acted like this around this guy, she had no clue. "Hey, have you heard of the mutant outbreak? They say that people have these powers like blowing things up and hurting people."
Fti frowned. "Yes," he said. "It's seems horrible. I hope it doesn't happen here."
Dani nodded. "The people seem so cruel."
Fti scrunched up his face. "I wonder why it's happening."
"Radiation, mutations... they are called mutants." She said.
"Are you okay?" Dani asked, walking closer to him. "You seem really mad about something."
Fti looked up. "My brother was taken over by a mutation." he said bluntly.
Dani's face switched from curiosity to sorrow. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know, I..." She put a hand on his shoulder. "I didn't mean to bring it up."
"It's okay," Fti said. "Every day I'm reminded. Nothing can stop that."
"No, I..." She felt so guilty for talking about it. "How?"
Fti thought a moment. "There's more news about it all the time, it's the topic everyone is talking about."
Dani didn't understand. "You wanna come to my house? Maybe have a soda or something? I'm sorry, I'm really bad at conversations."
"Sure, thanks." Fti smiled. "So am I."
Dani smiled back. She took his hand and led him down the sidewalk towards her house. She let go of his hand after a little ways. "Sorry, I didn't want you to get lost."
Fti followed her, not knowing what to say.
Dani blushed when there was nothing to say. They arrived in front of her house and she opened the door. "My folks are never home. Make yourself comfortable."
"Thanks," Fti said. "So, how old are you? What are some completely random things about you?" he settled into a chair and looked at Dani with an interested air about him.
Dani grabbed a few sodas from the fridge. She threw him one and sat across from him. "Um... random facts? Um.... I had toast this morning?" She laughed a bit, avoiding the age question.
((hmmm))Fti laughed, making a note in his mind. "Like, what are your hobbies? "
She shrugged. "Don't really have any."((gtg))
"Then what do you do in your free time?" Fti asked. "You can't hust do nothing."
Dani shrugged again. "I-I don't know. I walk around town."
((Yeah, no one's rping sides us.))
Fti chuckled. He looked at his watch. "Oh crap!" he said. "I'm late for a meeting! Sorry, I gotta go."
Dani smiled. "Sorry I made you late." She sighed.
((ciar? you mean Dani?))Fti got up and headed for he door. "It's not your fault," he said. "I'll see you!" he called over his shoulder. He hurried down toward a small building.
