I liked this very much. I was extremely impressed with the writing. Found myself weeping as I read. Maybe because I am close to the same age as the narrator, impossible as that is! She keeps returning to the loss of her husband, over and over, as details in her day, in her life, revive memories, inevitably. It amazes me how simple are Moore's sentences, how few words she needs to describe.

I really loved the book as well and good see why it was a the Canada Reads 2013 winner. The emotions were palatable and I wept as well.

The description of the simplest details is amazing. I was really surprised at how much this captivated me as the story line is a bit monotonous for me.
