message 2: by Malbadeen (new)

Malbadeen I believe I'll strangle some of my co-workers by the end of the day.

message 3: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments I believe I will scream at the top of my lungs if snow ruins my plans one more time this winter.

Servius Heiner ewww, suffocation and screaming. Sounds like a real hoot!

message 5: by Stina (new)

Stina (stinalee) | 653 comments I believe I will play a little game between 10:00 and noon called "I am not going to do any work at all." I might move some papers around, I might stare intently at a spreadsheet, but I'm not going to be productive.

message 6: by Harry (new)

Harry (harry_harry) I believe that I am completely stressed out by missing work today while things are incredibly busy, BUT not stressed enough to miss out on a fantastic nap.

message 7: by Stina (new)

Stina (stinalee) | 653 comments UPDATE: Everything is going to plan. I had to make a quick work-related phone call, but other than that, I'm aces.

message 8: by Harry (new)

Harry (harry_harry) UPDATE: May take another nap.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I believe the children are our future.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Sooo….yep, we’re boned.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm skipping work, today. I believe I'll make some baked goods.

message 12: by Malbadeen (new)

Malbadeen I believe you should share those baked goods at some point this weekend.

message 13: by Stina (new)

Stina (stinalee) | 653 comments A commercial is being filmed in my work area this afternoon... I believe I shall apply the same work ethic I had this morning to my afternoon. I cannot answer the phone... what if I ruin the shot?

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

I will, Marie, I will.

Kristina, keep it up.

message 15: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) Who'd a thunk Nick and I shared similar beliefs?

Servius Heiner I would have thunk-ed it, but I believe I had too many to notice.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

I believe that instead of cutting PE, music and library, my school district should have cut Fridays.

I ♥ you, 3-day weekends!

Servius Heiner well, it really isn't healthy for fat diabetic kids to exert themselves... And it is pretty hard to play a trombone with a Twinkie in one hand and a mouth full of chocolate syrup... Lastly as a book lover you should know the no-no of putting grubby food fingers anywhere near a book.

message 19: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments I believe I'll have 5 beers.

with myself.

message 20: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) "You know when i drink alone, i prefer to be by myself..."

message 21: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments Yeah. Me either.

Servius Heiner Me and my friend johnny walker, with is friends black and red.

Drinking alone is by far the best. other drunk people are annoying... most of the time.

But today is a new day and today, I believe I will start looking for a new job when I go home.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Really?

message 24: by Eh?Eh! (new)

Eh?Eh! | 443 comments I believe if your only skills are herding caribou and mowing tundra, you shouldn't ditch the only job that will let you use those skills.

message 25: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments @Nick: at first I thought that rhymed and then I realized I've just had one too many. But you're still my little poet.

I believe I'll go see my favorite band in Charlottesville tonight.

Servius Heiner Yep, I believe I can find better.

message 27: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments More time @ home too?

Servius Heiner I don't know how the wife would feel about me being home all the time, but I would like it... I know my dog would like it too, she turns into such a sad sack when I bugger off to work.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

What kind of work are you going to look for? Would you leave Alaska?

Servius Heiner I don't want to leave Alaska but there isn't really anything else to do here...

I have always wanted to be a forest ranger on Kodiak, but I don't think I could afford to take that job. It would be super sweet though.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Would your wife like to leave Alaska?

Servius Heiner I don't know, it has grown on her... 4 years ago I would have said in a heart beat but now?

You’re right, it’s not great pay. It also requires a lot of school whether you’re doing state or federal. That’s exactly what my brother is working toward, and he’s in the process of completing his masters degree in wildlife biology or what-have-you, right now.

Servius Heiner Yes Sir, but what a job. It would be totally worth it, if the position paid out.

message 35: by Rusty (new)

Rusty (rustyshackleford) | 2198 comments Exactly. Where my brother is concerned, he’ll basically get paid to do what he does in his down time. This is an extreme example, of course, but a few years ago when he was interning with a state forest service, there was a local herd of deer that had been infected with some kind of nasty virus, and the service didn’t want it to spread. So for a month or two, he was getting paid to hunt deer. His dream come true.

message 36: by Malbadeen (new)

Malbadeen HIPPIES!!!

Servius Heiner Just because one has a healthy respect and admiration for nature doesn't mean they are a hippie.

message 38: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments I'd need to smell you. That's the only way I can really be sure.

Servius Heiner Well, I don't go off into the woods and set up drum circles, I shower daily, and I have no respect for human life... I don't think I have any hippie attributes.

But, I guess if you want to sniff the nick then you can.

message 40: by Sally (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 0 comments What are you smelling for, Gretchen?

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

I believe that the "Meditation at the Museum" program at the PAM is gayandretarded*.

*shutup.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Sally wrote: "What are you smelling for, Gretchen?"

patchouli and body odor.

That's the best new word!!!!

Servius Heiner Rusty wrote: "I believe that this is funny: http://natebloch.com/"

Oh that's brilliant!

message 46: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments I keep forgetting to watch it when I'm home!!

Servius Heiner Oh it's tits! I bet you could watch it at work... only a couple cuss words.

message 48: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments No, it's really quiet and I'm in a cube. People will hear.

message 49: by Rusty (new)

Rusty (rustyshackleford) | 2198 comments Gretchen wrote: "No, it's really quiet and I'm in a cube. People will hear."

What are you guys proposing?

message 50: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 5731 comments Nick is proposing I watch your video and I'm proposing I don't because people will hear me watching it.

(I wish I had the power to suspend your reply button privileges. You're abusing it and you're going to make it sore. I agree that it is quite the handy little button but it's only required when responding to a post that is NOT THE MOST RECENT ONE.)

on another subject I have got to be the worst speller ever. "privileges" looks totally wrong. I spelled it 5 different ways and then finally had to google it to get it right. Why don't I understand how to spell when other people do?? And don't tell me you good spellers just read a lot because I do too. Clearly I've seen the word "privileges" in text before. I don't get it. Also, I know when to use "too" vs "to" and "your" vs. "you're" but I still do it wrong sometimes because I'm just talking through my fingers instead of really paying attention to what I'm doing. It bugs me.
