Amanda (mandaberry) For the most part, the book is better than the movie. I mean, this is understandable: time restraints, budget considerations, etc. Often, though, the little details that make the story so enjoyable are left out, and when you watch the movie you feel like something's missing. So what about when the book is more enjoyable than the book? What movies have you enjoyed more than the actual book it was based on?

Amanda (mandaberry) I enjoyed Stardust with Claire Danes, Robert DeNiro, and Michelle Pfeiffer more than the book by Neil Gaiman. The book was pleasant, but the movie was pleasant and quirky. I love me some quirky. Starship Troopers is another. I loved the book because it was an insightful character story. I loved the movie because it was campy and entertaining. I can't really say I enjoyed one more than the other, because they are both so different from one another.
