Jordan (flyinglogicmonkey) | 181 comments The link to my book blog is in my profile...links to my others are on my book blog.

Elyssa, I'm annoyed with you. :)
I just spent about a half an hour looking at the steampunk website you linked...which was totally awesome.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

A really good steampunkery book that I loved was Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger by Gail Carriger.

It is a new favorite book and she has more coming out. I'm excited. If only you could see the happy dance. *Ha Ha Ha*

Jordan (flyinglogicmonkey) | 181 comments Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld was the book that sparked my interest in steampunk. Even though my dad has been trying to get me into steampunk for a looooong time. :)

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I've heard that one was great as well. I want to read it.

Kate (katemreads) | 225 comments I haven't seen Van Helsing in a reall long time. I love Kate Beckinsale! I loved her in Van Helsing and really loved her costume! I'll have to watch that movie tonight. I really liked your blog by the way Elyssa.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks for all the praise on the blog. I've been having tons of fun with it. It was going to be just for book reviews. But I guess I have lots in me to share.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

I added a funny essay that I wrote last year about a peanut.

http://aworldofpersonality.blogspot.c...

message 16: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) I love that essay Elyssa! It's really funny; I like peanuts, but not that much! LOL :)

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

I had to write that essay for class last year. Well we had to write a discriptive essay about one peanut. I hated the idea of it. How lame? But I had fun with it.

message 18: by Zakiya (last edited Mar 02, 2010 01:47PM) (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Apparently! Haha, I really do like it though.

What kind of assignment is that? Why did they pick one peanut? Why did they pick peanuts for that matter?! :? <---Confused Face

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

He said that if you can describe one peanut in a very creative way then you can be descriptive about anything. It was just to prove a point.

message 20: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Is this the same professor that you're trying to prove a point to with For the L♥ve of Reading?

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Actually, it is different professor.

message 22: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Oh okay. They sound sort of the same. LOL

ps- i wish my library had books as recent as the ones yours has...

message 38: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 23, 2010 03:33PM) (new)

I know I got pretty lucky. Usually the books that I want are never there. And when I get on the wait list they always come in at the worst possible time. Like I'm almost done with a group read or I really have to study for a test! I can't wait for SUMMER!!

I'll have to check out The Curious Incident of the Dog first once I have time. Ah... Again, I can't wait for school to be done. Summer hurry up!
