Shultonus shultonus | 2 comments I think books in general have changed my life. Early on I devoured books, mostly as an escape. The first book I really connected with was

TIME MACHINE by HG Wells

The next books;
1984 and Brave New World likewise shaped my young mind

Recently,
Free Culture by Lawrence Lessig is HUGE

Everything I Want to do is Illegal by Joel Salatin
as a follow up to Michael Pollens food books

Gaviotas by Allen Weisman
really showed me what vision can do

Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond
concurrent with Against the Grain by Richard Manning

Ishmael by Danield Quinn also inspired me to think outside out technocracy

Dumbing Us Down by John Taylor Gatto
Is simply blew my mind away.

This book taught me about the existence of real evil and the determination to survive it.
HalfHalf the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide
taught me that I have a responsibility to help those less fortunate and that sometimes it only takes a little to make a real difference.
