Andrea wondering if any of you are scrapbookers... and run into situations like this: both my boys zonked out at 8pm last night, leaving me a whole night to myself! had a book I am dying to read.. but a backlog of scrapbook pages to work on. agh!! i tried to do both- but didnt get either finished!!
i have been devoting all my time the last few years to scrapbooking, but trying in 2010 to do more reading. im doing good so far! but i can see its going to be a struggle :)

oh yea - i'd love to make some friends, so feel free to add me.. none of my "off-line" friends are reading right now :(

Elena | 129 comments I have the same dilemma. What I do is, I scrapbook only 2 or 3 days a month now, after I come back all inspired from two monthly classes I go to. But then also, I have been scrapbooking for 7 years now so I don't have a lot of pictures to scrapbook.

The good thing about reading vs scrapbooking, is that you can take your book anywhere with you :)

Nadia A (bagambo) I have to admit that I have always wanted to get into scrapbooking. What I tend to do is get a scrapbook and my photos and then just make photo collages in the scrapbook. But what I would like to do is really get into it, where I can decorate the pages and make the scrapbook look nice and not just like a photo album with mishapenly cut photos. Crikey, my cousin who is 8 scrapbooks up a storm. I was so impressed by her work. Maybe taking a day or two a month is a smart idea. I could just focus on my scrapboking then. My reading has been a bit sporadic lately, so perhaps a multitude of hobbies would help get me back on track.

Renee (reneebergeron) Oh, I love to scrapbook. here is what I do: I'm totally spoiled and go on scrapbook retreats atleast 3 times a year. They last anywhere from 4-2 days, and I can get a lot done in that time. Then, I put all my stuff away and never pull it out until the next retreat. I get to read all the time at home, because I take care of scrapping at the retreat.

At least 3 times a year! Lucky you. The most I have done is going to crops. A lot of the ladies in my store are going on a scrapbook cruise to Bermuda in May. Now, that is something!

Valerie | 387 comments I'm a photograph-a-holic first and foremost! LOL And I've got all the photos to prove it ;) Haven't scrapped in a while, but I plan to change that after the first of the year. I've been to retreats & crops before, but I just can't get anything DONE when I do! I'm much more productive at home in my scrap room/office than anywhere else. Besides, if I were to go on a scrapping cruise, I'd never get anything accomplished because I'd be too busy exploring and taking MORE photos!! LOL

Back to your question though... scrapping over reading? These days it's reading, mainly because I've had such a long break from reading and just getting back into to it.
