This is where you can discuss as well as write your reviews on what you thought about the book, Coffehouse Angel which was our 'Read of the Month' for February.

Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors

Mary (ambells) I finished this yesterday! After looking for it for weeks I just stumbled on it while looking for a totally different book.
I really liked it, first because for once the romance triangle is missing, secondly Katrina seemed natural. She didn't know what she wanted in life, she didn't go "Omg, you want to reward me? Cool, I want Orlando Bloom as my bfriend :)) Ok, I totally went far on this one, but you get my point. She was skeptic like a normal human being. And her revelation of Malcolm being an angel was so cute. Can't get into details not to spoil.

"...take a picture of that and put it on a postcard"
I don't know why, but this really got to me! ^_^

I'm still reading it! I'll have it finished by the weekend, though! It's so cute!! I agree, Katrina is such a normal girl and the story is so real.
Bells, you crack me up! ORLANDO BLOOM!!!! HA!

ok, here's my quote so far!

"I wonder if it's a universal law that boys become annoying turds around age eleven and slide downhill from there?"

Hope my son doesn't see this! He's 11!!!!

Olivia ^^The Awesome Mushroom^^ (canttaketheawesomeness) | 436 comments Oh my God! HAHAHA!!! Annoying turds... I think that's true. :P My brother is sixteen, and that's definitely a major defining trait. Annoying turd...

Mary (ambells) Boys are strange developing creatures :)) Thank Good for a 14 year old older brother. Didn't have to see his early development ^:)^

message 6: by Mary (new)

Mary (ambells) But anyhooo! :)) Katrina must be one of the "real" girls I read so far. Normal with no amazing talent, au contraire :D. And Vincent. They had a very natural relationship of BFF. Who wouldn't go nutz if his/hers BFF start hanging out with someone you don't like?

I agree, that would be a little unsettling - being a third wheel is hard regardless, but if it's someone you truly don't care for that's taking your place, ugh! That's torture. Might as well stick a bag over your head and hibernate until the novelty wears off, which hopefully by then, you've graduated.

Dwayne (elinieve) | 9 comments I <3 <3 <3 Coffeehouse Angel! It was so cute. Too CUTE! It was hilarious at times - it has been so long since I literally burst out laughing while reading a book, and reading Elizabeth giggle while painting her father's naked caterer drove me insane! It was too hilarious.

And I adooored Malcolm and his wee trademarks <3
