I asked the vendor of
Item: Sands Lynsay Argeneau Vampire & more E Book on CD (180472608778

How can you possibly not know that what you are doing is a violation of copyright? Ebooks cannot be sold or shared. Check the copyright office website.

The vendor replied:

Q: yes, i know and i talked to ebay customer services. They told me as long as i send my item on CD. it will be fine .

Rebecca J Vickery (rebeccajvickery) Then EBay is aiding and abetting according to Federal law, correct? Looks like they are opening themselves up to a huge class action suit.

The vendor apppears to say that she knew it was a violation of copyright, yet (allegedly) EBay employees talked her into doing it anyway.

What is wrong with EBay?

Pauline,

I was gobsmacked, too. However, it proves that it is definitely worthwhile to ask the vendors questions. Some of them are obviously honest people who have been given seriously bad advice.
