Shantaramby Gregory David Roberts. . . . long book to start with ! i didn't enjoy it half as much as lots of reviews made me believe i would !

Book 3 . . . Relentless by Simon Kernick ! I was really enjoying this book until the end ! im sure i must have been missing the last chapter it suddenly ended ! BUT good book !
Book 4 . . . .I'm Only Being Honest: Straight Talking from Britain's Favourite Talk Show Host: Britain, the Hard Work Starts Now by Jeremy Kyle ! . . . an interesting read ! . . . .i expected more gossip on jezzas life but enjoyed his opinions !
Book 5 . . . Marley & Me: Love and Life with the World's Worst Dog by John Grogan!
im ashamed to say i actually enjoyed the film more ! ooops !
Book 7 . . . . Tout Sweet: Hanging Up My High Heels for a New Life in Rural France by Karen Wheeler ! a nice easy read a good recommendation !
Book 9 . . . The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson ! . . .. Fantastic book ! . . .. i loved it, i can't wait to get hold of the second in the series ! Fab !
I'm going to read this as soon as I've finished A Clockwork Orange and Wuthering Heights! I'm intrigued!
I am listening to Girl Who Played With Fire right now, downloaded from audible, its very good too!
Excellent both ! . . . .i just went out and bought the girl who played with fire . . . .which is rather naughty seeing as i said i would buy NO books this month ! lol ! . . . .
Book 10 . . . .Quite a disapointment ! . . .from reading A Thousand Splendid Suns i had such high expectations !.....maybe this was the ending ! . . .not an awful book but a def a let down ! . . .i feel naughty this is such a bestseller !
Book 11....im sure this shouldnt really count but i did read it lol !

Book 12 .........Jazz by Toni Morrison !
i liked this book so much but i felt i didn't pay it half the attention it deserved, i read it when i couldnt sleep! love toni morrison as always however!
Book 13....You've Been Warned by James Patterson......i read this book in a day, i didnt expect to like it so much but i really did, and it certainly kept me gripped! infact i've already requested another james patterson book from www.readitswapit.com !
Book 14.....The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger!
I've never been so let down by a book, i had recommendation after recommendation of this book, i loved the concept but i feel that it wasnt explored at all! i ended up reading a love story and not a great one and wanted to slap clare silly for laying down and having no ooopmph to her ! never mind, at least i cant say i've read it !
It's a shame it didn't live up to expectations after all those recommendations! I would have recommended myself actually, I really enjoyed it (but maybe I am an old romantic at heart!)I'm quite interestested in her new book Her Fearful Symmetry - it's about identical twins and because I've got identical twin girls I'm quite interested in how twins are treated in literature.
By the way, 200 pages in, I really like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo so far.
i know im amazed ! .....everyone thinks im mad - but it shows im soooo not appreciative of love lol !i saw her fearful symmetry - and im willing to give it a try lol, see if its the book or the author i dont like :)

Book 16......Brixton Beach by Roma Tearne !
such a gorgeous book, an easy read but still so enjoyable ! i expected a little more civil war but still very enjoyable!
Sooooo .....what was the verdict on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo ??? ....The Girl Who Played with Fire has been on my book shelf for awhile now but im putting off starting it ! ....i have no idea why ! ....i get like this for the last chapter of a very good book - im scared of it being over too soon !!!
I gave The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 4 stars, it was very good, I needed to know how it all ended so got through it pretty quickly by my standards! I don't read all that many thrillers but of those I have I thought this one was a cut above. There were a couple of eye-poppingly graphic animal-related scenes that I didn't dwell on! I've bought the next two books but going to read a few different books in between...
I have just read this too and have the whole series to read! Did you enjoy it?

Book 18 .... Red Lotus by Pai Kit Fai ! .... Ab fab book ! .... really beautiful i didnt want it to end !Book 19 .... Yes Man By Danny Wallace ! .... Really did enjoy this book although i did feel it dragged on a little.
No ? ..... i really enjoyed it but i felt it was dragged out a bit too much ! ....i even tried saying yes to everything while i was on holiday ! .....and to be fair i tried 7 types of fish and seafood (i dont eat fish) but then it got a bit boring lol ! ....

Not as great as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoobut still loved it !
......oooh i can't wait to get to the half way mark....ii might have to dig out a few spot the dog books !

Yeah, maybe if i had finished it i might have liked it more but i was getting sick of him going for drinks and telling his friends the same story. Did you read it on holiday? I read it holiday but mostly on the flight back so there wasn't much yesing going on.
thats prob a good thing though Jo....i can just see the hostess coming with the trolley....."would you like to buy a wine?" - YES, "Snacks" - Yes, "Tea,Coffee", "Perfume?" ...."child's toy of an plane?"...."Overpriced headphones, Pillow?" .....Rather expensive flight haha ! x
I enjoyed The Rapture too Christa, but I ended up getting a bit impatient towards the end. It's probably just my nature but it felt like we were in that stadium place at the end for ages before the finale played out! Very good apart from that, this is the first of Liz Jensens books that I've read - have you read any others?

4* .....although im almost wanting to give this book a 5* ! excellent view of the myth !

I finished "Hornet's Nest" yesterday and loved it! What did you think of it?
Lynne...I've got real mixed emotions about it ! .....i liked the book more for the story but i wanted more of the story in terms of how they got to the older ages ! .... and with regards to the story between the lab techs who knew they were going to get it on ? but then i guess that could be a whole new book itself ! Ck x

I'm going to have to read it again mind because i read it on the way to australia and i dont think i took it in half as much as i should have done compaired to the other two !
