I'm to read Beautiful Creatures in April for another group. I'll check out your review.

Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole
Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost
Tairen Soul series by CL Wilson
Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward
Guild Hunters series and Psy-Changelings series by Nalini Singh **do NOT read reviews or look at the cover for Archangels Kiss until you've finished reading Angel's Blood. Otherwise you'll ruin the awesome surprise ending of the first book.**
Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill
Dorina Basarab Dhampir series by Karen Chance
Little Goddess series by Amy Lane
World of Lupi series by Eileen Wilks
Pride Stories and Magnus Pack by Shelly Laurenston

Five stars of fantasticness!!"
Good to know, Penelope. I'm looking forward to that one!

Furies of Calderon
The Hunger Games
The Host
A Game of Thrones (epic fantasy)
The Dark Mirror
All but The Host are just the first books of each series

The Very Best of Charles de Lint
Parable of the Sower
With the Light... Vol. 1: Raising an Autistic Child
The first is urban fantasy short stories. The second is dystopian sf, with a bit of hope. The third is a graphic novel about raising a baby/ toddler with autism in Japan.

Five stars of fantasticness!!"
This sounds good. Just requested it from library. I'm 47 on the wait list. thanks can't wait.

I got this from the library, their large print book didn't have a long list so I think I only had to wait a couple of weeks. I enjoyed the book but found myself wondering if the author was being paid by the word!
It had some of the issues I see often in first books by an author but most of those were minor and I always hope, if not expect, those to work themselves out over time.
I think the author (and the book) would have benefited greatly by working with a good editor with a view toward reducing the number of pages by about 20% or more. Things would start moving along nicely and then you'd find yourself bogged down in explanations which would go on and on until you felt like you were wading through molasses.

Skinwalker I've read the entire series so far and have found them consistently good, 4 and 5 star ratings.
First Grave on the Right Very good, as was the second in the series and I'm waiting impatiently for the third.
The Wild Ways This is the sequel to The Enchantment Emporium(sort of ... same family, focus on different members of the family) and both are at the top of my list for the year.

and the first Twillight got 5 stars from me:

By all means, check out Shadow of the Beast: A Werewolf Novel by Margaret L. Carter.
It's a contemporary werewolf novel set in Maryland. Very well written and intriguing. (By the way, the werewolf is female.)

Ilona Andrews - Kate Daniels books
Patricia Briggs - Mercy Thompson & Cry Wolf books
Karen Chance
Devon Monk - Allie Beckstrom books
Brent Weeks
Kevin Hearne
Gail Z. Martin
Anne Bishop - Black Jewels books
Kalayna Price
Karen Moning - Fever Series
Deborah Harkness
and one that I just found she is a YA author but I liked what she has done so far: Sarah Maas
Some of these authors have produced books faster than others but I have enjoyed them all.
