Interracial Movie In Theaters Soon

I probably won't get a chance to see it, until it comes out on dvd. But, I still want to see it.

As for the movie. I think it's very funny but I will wait until it comes on DVD. It'll be on DVD in about two months, LOL!
Can anyone guess the main reason I'd watch this? Not just because it's a comedy and yes I love comedies but because of REGINA KING! I love her!
Best Wishes!

Stacy-Deanne,since you are a big fan of Regina, can I safetly say that you watch Southland on TNT?

No, she doesn't look like she can be his mother. Maybe the father remarried.

Sign me up for that one. I love Russell Wong. I met him and he was even more gorgeous in real life! I couldn't even put words together when I talked to him.

Dude! You got to meet him? That's so awesome! I don't blame you, I probably would've just stood in shock from the hotness. Lol
Which reminds me, I miss Vanishing Son. The 90s show he used to star in. I'm still trying to hunt that down so I relive my initial obsession--I mean, admiration (;-)) with RW. Hee.

I just read on the Young, Black and Fabulous website that she is supposed to be the best friend/lawyer of Forrest Whitaker's character. So she isn't the mother of the groom.
I think that movie looks darned cute, but I hereby move that we retire Natalie Cole's This Will Be forever from being used in movie trailers.

You are right Tina. Regina's character Angela is the father's best friend and lawyer.
I guess his wife must have died or they are divorced.

The Losers. Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chris Evans. Apparently, JDM is supposedly Zoe's love interest in the movie. Even if he wasn't I am all over this movie. It looks absurdly fun.

Thanks for sharing this trailer Tina.
I want to see this movie. I might wait until it comes out on DVD though or Starz.
They have a nerd in the movie.

I can't wait to see it. It will either be, when it comes out on DVD or on Starz.

Thanks for sharing that, Eugenia. That's an awesome list! I've enjoyed most of the IR movies they mentioned. Now I'm really jazzed to see Our Family Wedding. :-)
I agree about Something New being under-appreciated. I wish they did a followup to that one!

If I had to chose mine would be:
Something New - LOVE this movie. And it very nicely looks not just on race but also class which I think must be included in the conversation. And Simon and Sanaa had so much chemistry. Very modern and very much necessary.
Jungle Fever - Yeah, Spike was very heavy handed in this movie but it was quite provocative. The part where all the women sit and talk about IR relationships and colorstruck men was unscripted. He just let them talk and let the camera roll. And while the movie mainly concentrated on the wrong reasons for getting involved in a relationship (fetishization, curiosity, breaking the taboo) it also quietly looked at another IR relationship that was built on a stronger foundation of shared interests.
Island in the Sun - predates Guess Who's coming to Dinner by ten years. Soapy goodness. Ethnically mixed cast, island drama, two mixed race couples! And eye candy! Harry Belafonte, Dorothy Dandridge, and Joan Collins.
Bronx Tale Cute coming of age movie. And Robert De Niro plays a guy who doesn't want his son to get involved with a black girl. Oh the irony! LOL.
Restaurant Another good movie with a great cast an yet again two IR couples.
One False Move Billy Bob Thornton wrote and it starred his then real life wife Cynda Williams. Fantastic film noir.
The Bodyguard NOT one of my favorites. But I think it's overwhelming popularity makes it a very influential movie. Even if they don't show Whitney's face in the early posters.
Mama There's a Man in Your Bed (French title is Romauld et Juliet). Fun, funny wonderful film with a woman that isn't some overly beautiful skinny, Hollywood woman. She looks like a real person you'd see anywhere and he loves her.
Strange Days Now that K. Bigelow has won an Oscar maybe people will discover this under-appreciated gem of hers. Excellent neo-noir with Angela Bassett in her second best role!
Jackie Brown One thing Quentin Tarantino does very well is pluck has-been actors out of obscurity and gives them the opportunity to show they still have it. Both Pam Grier and Robet Forster were sensational in this movie. I loved their relationship.
That's an awesome list, Tina! I completely second Strange Days, Restaurant and Bronx Tale. Maybe they should have made it a complete influential list rather than just ten!
I still want to see Mama There's A Man in Your Bed but I may have to go digging for it. Seems like it'll be worth it!
Island in the Sun is another on my to see list too.
I liked Pam Grier and Robert Forsters relationship in Jackie Brown, too. The rest of the movie was meh but it was worth seeing it for them and Pam herself.

I pretty much dig everything Quentin does, Jackie Brown included. I'll have to revisit this movie someday soon because I can't remember it much.
Pretty sure I've seen a Bronx Tale, but can't remember it, and I haven't seen Strange Days. I'll have to up these on my to watch list.
I wish they'd make more diverse movies like these.
Jennifer Lopez has a movie coming out on April 23rd called The Backup Plan.
I'm not a fan of Jennifer Lopez. I don't even care for her movies.
The movie is an interracial movie. Latino woman/white man.

The couple Mexican Woman/ Black Man
Lucia Ramirez played by America Ferrera (Ugly Betty)
&
Marcus Boyd played by Lance Gross (House of Payne/Movie: Meet The Browns)
Here's a trailer: Not the one that I have seen a few minutes ago: The one I've seen was shorter and showed less. It started with the kitchen scene.

I think that Marcus has a pretty smile. When I have seen a little of Meet The Browns, I've noticed his smile.
This movie looks cute. I want to see it.
