Short answer - yes.

Long answer - These aren't the kind of romance novels that have a book per relationship and not a lot about the other characters. Instead, there are the normal relationships expected in romance novels, but a lot of the time they are developing over multiple books. And then there are conflicts and arguments between other characters, a lot of which are due to things that happened between them in previous books. You'd be missing out if you didn't read them in order.

My first book was Gone Too Far and if it wasn't, I doubt that I would have read any of the other books.

It was because of Sam and Alyssa (Interracial Relationship) that I have given the previous book my attention. I wanted to read more about them. I've actually checked out FlashPoint next to see if Sam and Alyssa were in that book, because I was hooked on them. I've fallen in love with Sam. After reading a couple pages to FlashPoint and didn't see Sam and Alyssa, I've bought the book back to the library, but months later, I've bought the book at a booksale and didn't read it until after I've read the previous book. Well, I've only scanned the first bookk Unsung Hero for Sam and Alyssa's parts. After I've read Into The Storm and read about my second love Dave, I've gone back to read FlashPoint and fallen more in love with Dave.

I didn't read Cosmo story or even Jules first story. I don't read about same sex.

I own all the books, except a few. Force Of Nature, Into The Fire and Hot Pursuit and of course the new book, Breaking The Rules.

I read a bunch of this series (there are some well-done audiobooks) but became discouraged when a couple I was hoping to see together wound up going off in completely different directions. I've forgotten the names, but the woman was one they rescued from some Middle-Eastern palace.

Regarding Jules' storyline, I don't seek out same-sex romances but really liked him. Brockman wrote Jules' love story to honor her gay son, and I think she did a wonderful job. His relationship with a Hollywood leading man who was desperate to stay in the closet was really moving.

Susan, his name is Decker and he wind up with Tracey. Decker didn't love Sophia and deep down inside, Sophia didn't love him at all. I could get into details, but I don't want to spoil anyone.
