You liked Hot Pursuit?
My baby wasn't the same. :(
Ash was cute, wasn't he? He knows how to get his parents attention and he's daddy's boy.

Definitely Daddy's boy. I really liked that Sam would wear the baby carrier. It was funny to me that he would do that in front of the other seals. Hot Pursuit was different from the other books. but still praise worthy to me. More of a crime novel.
I love Sam. He has definitely grown over the books. He really stepped into fatherhood at the end of Gone Too Far.
I honestly believe that Suzanne has Sam and Ash be close, because Sam didn't have a father. Well, his father wasn't there for him, when he was growing up. His uncle Walter was. So, therefore Ash has his loving father in his life. Sam needed his father growing up. But, he will give Ash a true father.
I'm sure that Ash is mommy's boy, but I think he's more spoiled to Sam.

Another macho baby carrier wearer is Jack Sheridan, retired Marine of Robyn Carr's Virgin River. He's an alpha bad boy who just turns to butter at the blink his wife's eye. This series is less action/adventure than Brockmann's work, but still worthwhile.
I like to see fathers with their babies. I mean, we should be able to read about these tough men and their children.
Of course, Alyssa would have to keep Sam in check. She would be upset if he cursed in the front of Ash and of course, she would have to keep herself in check too, because she couldn't cuss in the front of Ash either. Which, Alyssa wouldn't really cuss, unless Sam made her mad.
I could see Ash being spoiled to Alyssa too. Dark of Night hinted that information, when Ash was happy to hear Alyssa's voice over the intercom.

I seen these pictures on our local news site. I thought that you might like these Arch. Soldier Daddy's and their kids.

lol!

Oh, Wendy... well, to start with, their training weeds out 90%, leaving only those with the most endurance. Then there's the fact that they're in the Navy, the most gentlemanly of the services. The squads/teams are small groups (7, I think) which means that each member must have an amalgam of skills. It also makes for good fiction because you can get to know a guy's squadmates well. Their counter-terrorism job means that they go in silently, get it done, and come out leaving no member behind. This could be a whole thread of its own.
Check out The Tall Dark and Dangerous series beginning with Prince Joe by Suzanne Brockmann and Linda Howard's Mackenzie's Pleasure for a wider view than provided in the Troubleshooters books.

It's not that Seals are sexy to me, it's Sam Starrett that's sexy to me.
I like how real he is. He has flaws and he's not afraid to display them.
He bounced off the pages to me.
Sam has a big heart and I love that about him.

I'm well aware that you are in love with Sam. But it was just a general question I put out there. Seals are just something special to me. I have read McKenzie's Pleasure. And I loved it too. There is just something about Seals that is far more intriguing than Army Rangers or other Special Forces types. Maybe they are just built up in literature, but I don't think so. Your right that they are weeded out Mollie. I pretty sure that they are special in real life too.
Oh, no problem Wendy. Maybe, I shouldn't have said anything about Sam and just said that Seals doesn't touch me.
Suzanne's books were the first books that I have read about Seals. I'm drawn to FBI books. The back cover and prologue, if there is one has to grab my attention and once I start reading the book, it has to be a catcher for me to get into it.

Wendy, let's not go overboard here. Maybe in real life they are better warriors than other special forces types, but they're still guys who belch, scratch, leave the seat up, and are generally jerks in real life. That's why we have fiction LOL. That said, IMO SEALS are physically hotter than any other stereotype in fiction.

I wanted to see a Navy Seal training. Not movie version, but real life on TV. I wanted to see everything that Sam and his friends had to go through to be a Navy Seal. Of course, I didn't want the show to be boring.
Two years ago, I have even wanted to get a Navy Seal workout DVD, but the price wasn't looking right at the time.

Interesting. I've thought about researching a little, but there are just too many books and so little time.

I know that Timothy prepared for his role as Nick in the A Perfect Getaway, by hanging out with some Seals and getting Seals training.
Seeing the movie last night, I thought about Sam and his Seals' training. Sam loves the water and he introduced his son, Ash to the water at a young age. In Dark of Night, he takes his six month old son swimming.
I know that babies can swim, but as a mother, I would be a little scared to have my child in the water that young. I wonder how Alyssa reacted the first time that Sam took Ash swimming.
Sam probably wanted to take Ash to the ocean for his first swimming lesson. I can imagine the The Blue Lagoon scene, where the baby is swimming in the ocean.

Me too, but not as much as Tom. I've committed to finishing unfinished series this summer, then I'm going back to read the Troubleshooters through from the beginning.
Gone Too Far has just come through the post, after 3 weeks, yes 3 WEEKS of waiting! For some reason these books aren't very readily avaliable in the UK, so I couldn't even download the ebook! It is so unfair. But atlast it has arrived : )Arch, do you love Sam? LOL : )
Let me proclaim my love for Sam now, because I will not be able to proclaim it for 8 days. Well, I hope for only 7 days.
I love Sam!!!!!!
I love Sam!!!!!!
Cindi wrote: "And you'd work with whom? Since Sam is already taken . . . let me know how that interview goes!"
lol, since Alyssa is second in common, she probably would be the person to interview me, then again, Sam is third in common, he could do the interviewing as well.
That's only if Tom wasn't available to interview me.
Since, I'm a nerd and loves computer. Tom could hire me to be the IT person. I would love to check out Sam and Dave's computer.
Yeah, Yeah, I know that Dave is a nerd too. But, Sam isn't. Who knows what could happen to his computer that would need my service.

You know that sometime in your "story" you'd end up in the field with Dave then. Don't break his heart (again).
