Ruchi (ohlookitsruchi) I hope the other kid is sent to live in a better home. Growing up with parents like that must be unimaginably traumatic x_x

Luce-Virlynn | 38 comments That is just so sad. I mean who in their right mind would whip a child to death just for misprounouncing a word? That's just ridiculous.

message 7: by Dan (new)

Dan 2. Aren't you guys all "pro-choice?"

Huh? What does that have to do with this? These parents weren't performing abortions. They were beating their children.

"Another thing is that that website does not display Christian values. I cringed when I saw the section called, "Child Training."
"

Which website? The blog or the link that sent you to the original story?

It shows every Christian who's "holier then thou" to get the fuck off his high horse, because there is nothing about being religious that makes you moral.

And if you want something more, there are stories about Christians, BECAUSE THEY ARE CHRISTIAN, refuse medical treatment for their toddlers and infants, and the kids DIE.

Liz (lizgore) | 3163 comments I am open to letting people do what they want as long as it doesn't negatively impact someone else

Being gay/smoking weed - doesn't effect anyone but them
Beating child - effects child (who is not them)

Does that make sense?

I don't get your point

We shouldn't let people wear red shoes because other people might see them and start also wearing red shoes.

Again it only effects the indivual.

message 12: by Liz (new)

Liz (lizgore) | 3163 comments / wearing the red shoes (my sentence cut off)

"That's crazy. I suppose that you believe everybody who's an atheist is perfectly moral?"

Seeing as only 1% of the jailed population is non theist, compared the the 15% it comprises in regular society, then mostly yes.

Well done, Xox. Your logic is spot on. I never would have considered whipping my kid to death when I was an atheist. But having recently found religion, I now look forward to it with great anticipation.

That’s just how we roll.

"Therefore, the person who was gay or smoked weed in the first place would not have just been affecting themselves. "

Oh my god, my cousin is gay, so I must have caught the GAY too! I think I'm turning into an amoral homosexual!

Fuck you.

John | 110 comments hey, pk, they read it from a religious wqebsite because they were religious, people are killed all the time ove in the UK for no apparent reson, there not religious or anything, we've hasd salt overdoses, starvings, kids killing other kdis

message 17: by Dan (new)

Dan There are many Christians who would never consider doing something like that.

Good for them. The point is that Christianity and other religions are a direct cause of a lot of evil acts. Just because it doesn't cause everyone to act this way is meaningless. Not everyone who drives drunk gets in a car accident. Does this mean that driving drunk is good? No.
