The Death of Marat as painted by Jacques-Louis David. There is another version of this painting which I prefer for its grittier and darker style, but I can't find that, and this one has the benefit of the serene look on his face.

Indeed, that is inspirational, Baxter. I love it.

Here's one of my charries's house:

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

And yes, I found that on Google images.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha, too bad, it's his :)
Well, the house of his childhood.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

No. Actually, that's not really what his neighborhood or yard looks like, so no beautiful view for him. Until he grows up and buys his own house.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

It's a very purty house...

He's not the most iconic sports figure in the world besides the Tiger. Beckham is much more widely known.

John Singer Sargent's Portrait of Madame X. Easily one of my favorite paintings ever, and up with Girl With a Pearl Earring as my favorite portrait. Besides being extremely beautiful, the picture reeks of mystery. At once vulnerable and strong, this unnamed woman has an indescribable quality to her. Really gets my brain going.
