Tracy Any chance of this new book coming in Kindle version? This is not to say that I won't read it if it's not on Kindle, I would just read it faster...haha

Sheryl It's worth the read in book format!

Tracy Actually, it did come out on Kindle and I did read it. Very good. Also read the newest book, Night Road. Excellent. I couldn't put it down. Finished it in little more than a day...lol.

Agnes (BookBubbe) Hannah is a great writer...I fly through her books in 2-3 days......I am now reading Between Sisters....excellent...I never go anywhere without my Kindle!

Barbara I loved this book. It's hard to put down once you start.

message 6: by Bec (new) - rated it 3 stars

Bec I couldn't get into it the first time I borrowed it out of the library. I gave it another chance - loved it especially the twist at the end :D . Tracy Night Road was fantastic :D

Shalini yeah..i agree with u..very interesting book..

Kendra I have read many of her books and have enjoyed them all!

Donna This book was excellent! Couldn't put it down - cried at the end!!

Tammy I love everything she writes, i just wish she would write faster. lol

Frances Yes, it is out on Kindle. I thought it was a good book, but I had a rather difficult time getting into it. I also found the plot rather predictable.

Midge I found this book boring at first but I kept reading it then it got really good.

Midge Night Road was much better though.

Linda I couldn't put this book down, I thought it was excellent. But I also really liked Night Road, couldn't put it down either! Anything by Kristin Hannah is excellent.

Andi Kristen Hannah has become one of my favorite writers and this one is the one that really hooked me. The russian backstory is fascinating and the family dynamic (which seems to reoccur in several of her books) is always good. I'm reading Comfort and Joy for Christmas and have Magic Hour in the hopper for after the holidays. I bought some copies of Winter Garden for Christmas gifts, that's how much I liked it.

Cyndi This was my first book to read by Kristen Hannah, I AM HOOKED. I cried and laughed and got mad, and cried some more....WOW.

Janet It must be on Kindle because I read it on Nook. It was a facinating story and I enjoyed it immensely. I really couldn't put it down.Winter Garden

Janmacy1955 I also read it in the book format. Most enjoyable!

Lacie I loved this book. It was recommended to me by a family member. I was hooked right away and couldn't put it down. I am planning on checking out more of Kristin Hannah's books.

Tracey, any if you can't get it on Kindle please read the book. It is one of my favorite. The story is awesome. Let me know what you think of the book.
Julia

Lorrie Very good read. You might want to skip "Between Sisters" though.

Ann Was kind of slow in the beginning but once the story got underway I couldn't put it down! Glad I stuck with it as it turned out to be a very good read.

message 24: by Kat (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kat I loved how this one had a story within a story. The characters seemed so real to me, too. I hated the mom at first, but as the story went on I felt more and more sympathy for her, and ended up really liking her in the end.

I'm reading Dragonfly in Amber now, and as soon as I'm done I'm going to start Night Road.

Lorrie Did you read "The Outlanders" before "Dragonfly", Kat?

Lindsey Dinapoli Ann wrote: "Was kind of slow in the beginning but once the story got underway I couldn't put it down! Glad I stuck with it as it turned out to be a very good read."

Same for me. I almost stopped reading because it took so long for the story to really grab me, but once it did I couldn't put it down.

Love Kristin Hannah but for some reason Between Sisters was one of those books I couldn't get into. I even tried to get into it a few different times with a good amount of time in between and just couldn't. It saddened me a bit because KH is one of my favorites.

You have to read Firefly Lane. That is what got me hooked! Love that book!!!! Night Road was amazing, and Winter Garden was soo good too!!
I loved True Colors and Mystic Lake.

message 29: by Lisa (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kristen is a wonderful writer. I loved Winter Garden. Couldn't put it down.

Tamanda Elia I read Winter Garden and cried all the way through it (which is something I don't usually do), but despite my sogginess, loved this book. I also read Mystic Lake, liked it and was glad I was less soggy as a result. I read both on e-book format.

Agony Me Too...I cried multiple times throughout the novel.

Louise Samson I listened to it on the book on tape version - OMG it was riviting. We took it on a road trip and my 13 year loved it too.

Agony It can realy put life in a new perspective. Especialy when you share a simularly distant relationship to the ones you care about. (I read novels not only for the stories, but also for the lessons that come)

Stacey I am a big fan of Kristin Hannah and have been since Summer Island. After that one I went back and read some her earlier stuff that she wrote prior to that but wasn't too fond of that stuff.

I've enjoyed pretty much everything since.

Winter Garden was a great book but not something you read less than a month after your mum dies which is what I did. I found myself hysterical a few times. I actually think it helped me cope with the loss to be honest.

Louise Samson I know what you mean - I read it just months after my mother passed away too so it was emotional for me too.

Diane Prettyman I loved the way Kristin weaved the story of her mother's past into the present day. Being raised on an apple farm, I loved the present day story as well. Great combination.

Agony It helped show me how tuely distant I was with my grand mother. I mean here I was thinking how she never listens to me, while I was completely ignoring her... I kinda feel bad about it. all this time she was trying to tell me her story (sound familiar)while I was pushing her away for her not listening to mine. Wow I was selfish.

Nancy Winter Garden and Home Front were my two favorites of hers. I also liked Distant Shores, however, I could not seem to get into any of her others.

Winter Garden and True Colors are my favorites so far of Hannah's books. I haven't read Distant Shores yet.

Dee Firefly Lane is my favorite of hers - I was a blubbering mess by the time I was done - but then Beaches with Bette Midler and Barbara hershey is still one of my favorite movies and they had similar themes

Leslie Hated the ending..everything wrapped up way to quickly. I did like the book but she built the story up so much, yet wrapped it up in a few pages.

Melana I only read this because it was a selection of my book club.
