In addition to buying Fictionwise and ereader.com (which FW owned), B&N has its own bookstore. As I understand it, the books they sell are in ePub format, which means they work on most readers. B&N also has Smartphone and PC apps to read their books.

I could be wrong, but I think B&N is using eReader format?

B&N just switched formats a few months ago. I believe Smashwords said they were switching to ePub, but I could be wrong. But B&N's Nook reader supports several unsecured formats, including ePub, for sure. Grinning...
