Trine (trinespageongoodreads) | 8 comments Hi,

I'm new to this group.

Has anyone read either of these books?

Crusader: By Horse to Jerusalem by Tim Severin

Land of Eagles: Riding Through Europe's Forgotten Country by Robin Hanbury-Tenison

Happy Reading!

Trine :-)

Andrea | 127 comments I haven't read those. I'm not a rider myself, but I greatly enjoyed Cameroon with Egbert by Dervla Murphy. Egbert, the horse, is really a big part of the story, but it would appeal to anyone who enjoys adventurous travel.

Sounds like a great read.

John Might not be exactly what you're looking for but I'll throw out: On a Hoof and a Prayer: Exploring Argentina at a Gallop.

Trine (trinespageongoodreads) | 8 comments Another great suggestion. Thanks, John. :-)

John Although I have not read this one, Stewart is a good writer: In the Empire of Genghis Khan: An Amazing Odyssey Through the Lands of the Most Feared Conquerors in History - might be more what you're looking for?
