Tommorow, being late night shopping in Urban Areas (everywhere but the city) im going to the bookshop, armed with some book vouchers and im going to purchase JERCY JACKSON 1 and GONE!!!!!
omg! that's a good annabeth! and she's closer to the actual age of annabeth! (whether you're talking bookwise or screwed up movie version.)movie completely sucked! movie- good. book/movie- terrible!!!! one of my correspondents in the UK (one i didn't meet on GR, go fanfiction.net !!!!!) said it looked like a HP ripoff. :D
I just got back from seeing it, and it was EPIC! Best Lines:
Charon: The living are not permitted here. Die, then come back later.
Grover: Dude, I'm not going to DIE then come back later!
Annabeth: Guys, we're not here to have fun. (eats flower) I just remembered why we're here...to have fun! (giggles)

Comments on the Actors:
Logan Lerman: Wow, he was great! He's the perfect Percy. Also, seeing him giggle = priceless XD
Alexandra Daddario: I thought I wouldn't like her, but she was actually a good Annabeth. She is so pretty and has a beautiful smile. Some of the scenes I liked her in were the Capture the Flag scene and when Percy first saw her (she kicks a**!), the scene with Medusa, and the scene at the hotel when Percy's in the pool. HOWEVER, I didn't like her in the scene with the hydra.
Brandon T. Jackson: I didn't think he was going to be good either, but he was great as Grover. He was so funny.
Sally Jackson (I don't know the actress's name): She was good and she had that tired look, but I think she was too old looking.
The Things They Changed:
I only had issues with a few: No Thalia? No Ares? No epic capture the flag scene with Clarisse and the water (I know they still had it, but it was missing Clarisse)? No shoes that fly to Tartarus? AND most importantly...what happened to the Arch scene? THAT WAS EPIC! And WHAT HAPPENED TO SEAWEED BRAIN?! That's just about the cutest thing ever! But other than those, I was fine with the changes.

I posted in another group I'm in but I very much didn't like it (as my toddler would say). I liked some of it but was expecting it to follow the book a little more. I think if I had waited and knew in advance that it wouldn't follow the book, then I would have really liked it.It had great action scenes, though.
Percy was way too cool about his mom dying, if you ask me.
I also loved it! I was actually just going to see it because of Logan Lerman, he's so gorgeous! I also bought the book a couple weeks before the movie came out. I was going to read it but I knew Percy, in the book, is 12 where in the movie he's 17ish. I thought it might be weird, that and I wanted to enjoy the movie and not have to worry about it being like the book. I'm going to read the book soon, I heard the movie was really different but I hope I still like. I liked pretty much all the cast except Annabeth, since I haven't read the books I'm not sure if she's supposed to be kind of a know-it-all and even annoying type person, if you know what I mean. I just didn't like her.
I thought it was "so-so" at first, but now the longer I've had to reflect, the ANGRIER I am with it! A thousand expletives on Hollywood! There was *no* reason to make as many changes as they did!
I'm gonna watch it soon, so don't spoil it first, please!!

it is, but go see it anyways. it's worth it to be able to stare at logan the entire time :D

and there are actually some good, well done scenes. but if you are going to hate it right off the bat for everything thing messed up and changed, then ya. it kinda is :P
And even though she's supposed to be smart, the only thing she really does throughout the movie was state the obvious.In some scenes I felt the acting was really bad, not just the girl who played Annabeth, but other actors as well, such as Logan.
Well see it so that you can come back and post what you hated! LOL.
i'm going to go see the movie later today. one friends said it was nothing like the book, but that it was still good.

Seriously, worst movie I had seen for a long time. I was invited by a whole bunch of friends, and i just walked out of the cinema because i hated it.
You might like it (some of my friends did). But I detested it.
PS: Taylor Swift's acting was shocking.

I'm glad I didn't end up going to that. XD I almost did today, but I had driver's ed. (my last class!)
OMG!!!!! i just got back from watching the lightning thief!!!!!!! i'll tell you guys more about it after i have my dinner..................
i'm back!okay, the lightning thief movie was absolutely nothing like the book, however hollywood's version was still pretty good. the only things that bugged me were: percy and his friends are all in high school, ares isn't mentioned, along with clarisse, selena, and a couple other characters, and then the a-word was used twice.
other than that, the movie was so funny!!!!!!!the acting wasn't too bad and logan and the guy that plays luke are so cute!

That's the one of the only reasons that I went to see the movie and the guys didn't disappiont!
I loved it!! it wasn't as good as the book but it was still good! it didn't really follow the book either but i still liked both! so did my mother no matter what she tells you

It didn't follow the book AT ALL! The end was all wrong. But overall it was an AWESOME movie. I loved it bunches :)
