Andrew Lawrence | 1 comments A book that changed my life? The Old Man And The Sea. A couple of characters, the sea, a small boat and a big fish. Quite a story! In fact, I learned how to write by reading Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway's advice on writing? "Use only enough words to tell the story ... and no more."

I have written 7 non-fiction books and am still faithfully following his advice. See for yourself, read some free excerpts at http://Andrew-Lawrence.blogspot.com

I also enjoy the way he writes. writers of any kind can learn greatly from grandpa Hemingway.
