Katy Do I get to count books I've already read this year? My husband bought me an eReader for Christmas and its been fantastic! I'm reading a lot more because of it!

1. A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick This is the book I'm reading now. Its been unique so far.

Already read this year:

2. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest (Millennium, #3) by Stieg Larsson (Got desperate and ordered it from Amazon UK)

3. The Help by Kathryn Stockett Amazing Book!

4. Roses by Leila Meacham
I didn't think this one lived up to all the hype. People have said that it is a sweeping saga in the manner of Gone With the Wind and I wouldn't agree. Its kind of uneven.

5. Rainwater by Sandra Brown

6. This Charming Man by Marian Keyes

Meg (moonorchid) | 131 comments My husband just bought me a Kindle for valentine's day...I've bought a few books on it already but haven't been able to sit and read it cause I still have actualy books left I want to read ("The Help" being one of them).

Do you miss books now that you have an e-reader?

Katy I don't miss them at all! The eReader is so light and portable and its so quick and easy to download books, its been fantastic. They are all right there at the touch of a button, its been amazing! No more books smashing me in the face when I fall asleep reading, no more carrying them around. I think some people might miss the tactile sensation of turning pages, but I like that my eReader is touch screen. Give it a chance, you will love it!

Katy Okay, A Reliable Wife was not good in my opinion! Booo--I wanted it to be better than it was.

I started Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane

Katy Shutter Island was excellent!

I have read To Kill a Mockingbird. Getting ready to teach that one again.

Also, Romeo and Juliet

And Monster for the same reasons.

For pleasure, I have read

Alias Grace

I'd like to settle into a desk in your classroom! Those are great stories to delve into. Though I could never get past Shakespeare-speak - but my teacher did a valiant job of educating us with it in high school.

TKAM is one of my favorites. No one ever "taught" it to me - but the book and movie have so much to offer.

I have never heard of Monster - sounds interesting!

Can I sit in? They made me read "The Great Gatsby" three times in the course of my educational career - not to mention the movie came out while I was in high school- devoting seeminly endless amounts of my time to it and assigned TKAMB just ONCE, when it's a book I would willingly have spent weeks discussing. And it's on my to re-read pile as we speak.
