I am just starting this series. Has anyone read them? What do you think?

Whitney (whitneychakara) | 127 comments Im just starting them as well :) so far i think its pretty good. how's it coming for you?

message 3: by Annalisa (new)

Annalisa (goodreadsannalisa) I've read them. The first one is the best one. They get progressively less interesting. Isn't that always the case :).

Whitney (whitneychakara) | 127 comments lol it depends its either intresting at the begining and then dies off or the other way around very few series are good all the way through. I think it may just be the business of being a author you have dates to meet and if you want to keep your contract and make money to eat you need to meet them even if it means making something up thats just alright and putting it out.

Brigid ✩ I've read the first two books but not the third yet. I don't think they're amazing, but they're enjoyable. I like the whole alternate version of Wonderland; it's a very cool idea.

Miss Bookiverse (missbookiverse) I only read the first one and then quit. I thought the ideas were really interesting but the whole book felt kind of cold to me. The style was different (very comic-like, the author used to write comics I think) and not my cup of tea and I couldn't warm up with the characters :(

message 7: by Lushbug (new)

Lushbug I really couldnt get into this book. finished it but like Infinate playlist it left me cold. I didnt relate to any of the characters as they had no deph- would make an excellent film tho. It could and should ave been much better.

Miss Bookiverse (missbookiverse) I agree, it had such a solid, creative basic idea, what a shame :/

Kritika (spidersilksnowflakes) I've read the first two, and I felt like the second one was volumes better than the first. I liked the series, but not enough to hunt down the third book and read it.

I am halfway through the first one and enjoying it. Does the Hatter get a series of his own?

message 11: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade I've read the first one! Haven't gotten the second yet... is there a third?

message 12: by Betsy (new)

Betsy Uh, Oh! I just started this book today, because I am absolutely obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. I heard about this series, and I was super excited to start it. I hope that I'm not disappointed with the book, from the comments you guys made it doesn't sound like that great a series.

message 13: by Annalisa (new)

Annalisa (goodreadsannalisa) Sometimes I don't like when a book messes with great, iconic literature and I felt that a little bit reading Looking Glass Wars. But the 2nd one felt like it's own story so it didn't bother me as much. Redd's a great evil villain. The third one reads like a movie-script for The Matrix, all description of action, cut short in the middle of every scene to jump to another scene, and no in-depth of any of the characters.

Ash (ashleighchristina) | 6 comments I loved the first but I found the second lacked the same flare as the first. I'm just hoping that the third is good, I loved the overall concept and unique spin on such a well loved book.

I guess there is a Hatter series but it is a graphic novel series. Can't wait to dig into that!

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I loved the first one, but I've never read any of the others.

message 17: by Whitney (new)

Whitney (whitneychakara) | 127 comments I returned it to the library i dont have enough time to mess around with books that I dont feel i can read at the time. I just couldnt get into his writing style at the time.

message 18: by Niki (new)

Niki (unclovedfaerie) | 1 comments I read the first one and thought it was the coolest thing because I love Carroll's Alice stories, but I stopped half way through the second one because I lost interest. I hope to finish reading it soon because they are really great books and very interesting.

Well I read the first Graphic Novel and didn't really enjoy it. The art is not my style and then I also basically come to find out that it is just a retelling of the book itself. :( I thought it was going to be different. The second graphic novel just came into the library so I'll still be checking it out.

message 20: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ I just read the third one. Ehhh. Over all I think the series turned out okay but not great. It was funny in parts, and I liked what Beddor did with the idea of Wonderland. But the writing and characters bored me a little. Also, what's with the random sound effects? The author seems obsessed with them. Every other sentence is like a jumble of random letters, like … "When suddenly –– fffttttttaaapppppooooaoaaakkkaeeeeeeee!!!" Strange.

Kacey Rai | 12 comments I've only read the first book, but thoroughly enjoyed it.
