Is anyone here an action movie fan? I love them, which I'm sure you can tell. I'm rewatching Transporter 3. I really enjoy this movie. It has this European vibe that appeals. I think the romance is very good, and Jason Statham is sublime.

Here are some of my all-time favorites:

Lethal Weapon movies
Die Hard movies
Long Kiss Goodnight
Transporter (although 2 was a bit disappointing)
Equilibrium
Naked Weapon
So Close
Hard Target
Maximum Risk
King Arthur
Hardboiled
The Killer
The Defender (Jet Li)
Romeo Must Die
Kiss of the Dragon
La Femme Nikita

I'm not nearly done..

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Eugenia, my FIRST thought when I saw this catagory was The Lord of the Rings trilogy. *sigh* What a movie... and one of the few that were as good as the books!

Great list, Eugenia!

Great picks, ya'll. I'll add a few to the lists...
True Lies
The Fugitive
Independence Day
Air Force One
Con Air
James Bond Movies
Speed

message 5: by new_user (new)

new_user I like the European feel to the Transporter movies too, and the scripts. You have to see B13, Danielle.

Love action movies. Faves:
Gladiator
Bourne Trilogy
Shooter
Transporter Trilogy (although technically, I skipped 2)
Banlieue 13 (District B13)
Ong Bak (This guy makes Jackie Chan look like a schoolgirl)
Warlords
Braveheart
Troy
The Last Samurai
The Matrix Trilogy
Equilibrium
Chronicles of Riddick
Mission Impossible
Underworld
X-Men, X2, Punisher, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Dark Knight
Transformers

Giant list, LOL.

LOL! I can't shoot a bow or a gun because of my miserable eyes, LOL. When I tried archery, I shot exactly to the left of the bullseye each time.

message 14: by Jamie (new)

Jamie I don't think this was listed yet and I know it's not really action like guns and high speed chases, but my all time favorite is Robin Hood with Kevin Costner and Christian Slater *fanning myself* I LOVE that movie, those two were so hot back in the day.
I also dig A Knights Tale, Heath Ledger, yum.

lol, being off can actually hit a target. A heroine would need that kind of skill, if she's ever trying to protect herself from a bad guy and he decides to move left to get out of her way.

Shannon (Savhage Temptrest) (savhagetemptress) | 32 comments I just love action flicks myself, and every movie you guys have chosen I absolutely love! I'm going to add a few I didn't see to the list:

The Professional
Swordfish
Sin City
The Fast and the Furious
Pitch Black
XXX
Out for Justice
Rush Hour - 1 and 2
The Mummy - 1 and 2
Scorpian King
Eraser
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Van Helsing
Batman - Old and New
Terminator - All

NU, I love westerns. I wish they made more. I hated the end of 3:10 to Yuma, though. I'm a Christian Bale fan, so that one wasn't fun for me.

Danielle The Book Huntress (Winter Frost Queen) (gatadelafuente) | 9731 comments Mod
I think some of you are my long lost sisters. I don't have to list movies, b/c they're already here. LOL. I like some of the low budget action movies from the 80s. My mission is to get most of those that I loved on DVD.

The Hunted (with Christopher Lambert)
Boondock Saints
I Come in Peace
Showdown in Little Tokyo (I know it's cheesy, but it has some good parts)
The Crow

I love the Hong Kong Action Movies!

Are you talking about Showdown in Little Tokyo with Brandon Lee? If so that was a action pack movie. Wait, you said 80's. That movie came out in the 90's.

The Crow: Brandon was sexy in that. I've cried when I've found out that he died. I've seen the movie and a few days later, I've found out he died. I didn't know man, but it didn't stop me from crying.

Oh, I would say that Better Off Dead is an action movie, in it's own right. "Two Dollars!"

Danielle The Book Huntress (Winter Frost Queen) (gatadelafuente) | 9731 comments Mod
Yes, that's the Showdown I was referring to. I was just making a blanket statement about 80s action movies. I can't even remember a lot of them I enjoyed. Yes, it's so sad about Brandon Lee. :(

Better Off Dead has some action parts. LOL.

Nisha (parakisu) | 35 comments I like most of these, but there's a part of me that really likes artsy wushu films. One of them is Duelist. Its Korean and the soundtrack is great. I guess it could be played as a genderbender.

My favorites:
Boondock Saints
Matrix (all of them)
The One
The Mask (obviously, I'm a huge Jet Li fan)
Lethal Weapon (I forgot which numbers, but #4 definitely)
Con Air
Face/Off (absolute favorite, omgosh)
The Rock
Mr and Mrs. Smith
Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker (I'm an Alex Pettyfer fan, and the fight scenes are pretty nifty)
Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, yum)
Underworld (vampires, double yum, hehe) and series
Resident Evil series
Count of Monte Cristo
Terminator movies
Returner
Casshern
House of Flying Daggers
Rush Hour
The 13th Warrior (I really liked this one)
Star Wars (all, especially the 3 old ones)
X-Men series
Pearl Harbor
Spider man

They don't make movies like those anymore
3. Face Off: I like the face off scene in the church.
4. Letah Weapon
5. Anything with Bruce Lee
6. The Five Master of Death. That's one of my favorite karate movies. I haven't seen it in years.
7. Die Hard
8. Lakeview Terrace

If they make a part 3, I hope it should be close to part 1.

Sometimes, in my opinion, only a part one to a movie needs to be made.

I rather have a good part one, then to have a cheesy part 2, 3, 4 or whatever number it starts to get chessy.

You know that I like Paul Walker. Hello, Prince Parris.

Anyway, in my opinion, they should have stopped at part 1. I didn't see part 3 yet. But, part 2 was well, not part 1.
