Denise Roper | 11 comments I wrote a book on Harry Potter which compares the series to The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. The book is called "The Lord of the Hallows: Christian Symbolism and Themes in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter," and I am giving away three copies of the book here at goodreads. The giveaway ends tomorrow! If you want to order a copy of the book, please visit my author webpage at www.outskirtspress.com/thelordoftheha.... Thanks!

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) | 170 comments COOL! I love LOTR and CON. Sorry for all the abbreviations. I'm very lazy.

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) | 170 comments Thanks for the books though. I have so many friends whose parents won't let them read them because the books are supposedly evil. I know they aren't, I'm still searching for all the symbloism in them. I've figured out LOTR out though. That wasn't too hard.

Denise Roper | 11 comments My book recently got a positive review on the "Secrets of Harry Potter" podcast at www.sqpn.com. It was at the end of Episode 48 "The Battle of Hogwarts." You can read about it at my blog here or at http://phoenixweasley.wordpress.com. :)

Meghan | 686 comments That's really cool that you wrote it. When I was reading Harry Potter I noticed a ton of similarities between HP and Lord of the Rings.
