I know a lot of your are fellow book bloggers and if you are - I could really use your assistance.

I recently began a book club blog and I want to add some challenges and also create a few news ones for my members on our blog, but I don't understand how to set them up so that people can sign up for them on the website and continue to update their lists.

Could anyone help me with this?

I think wordpress would support this, but I cannot figure it out on my own.

Molly | 330 comments Do you mean a way for everyone to input their name and link to their posts? Try Mr. Linky...

I thought that was what I was looking for, but then I realized that this Mr. Linky thing was only for people who had blogs of their own. What I wanted was some way that my non-blog-owning members could sign up for the challenge and keep a list of their books on the Challenge page of my blog. I don't know if anything like this exists.

Molly | 330 comments Couldn't they just add them into the Comments section? It sounds like you want a widget where people can come in and interact on your blog - typing in a list and then coming back and editing their entry. I am a Blogger user - not WordPress - so I am not as familiar with their plug-ins.

yes! that is exactly it! do you know if what you described is available on Blogger? if it is, maybe it will be for wordpress, too.

Molly | 330 comments I haven't seen something like that - but I'm sure it exists - more likely on WordPress. If you can't find anything searching through their plugins listing, you could post your question on their forum - they would be best qualified to help you...
