Nancy Zey | 8 comments 1. Beezus and Ramona
Read for Childrens Lit class
2. The Kiribati Test
Free Kindle book - it was okay.
3. The Glass Castle
People raved. I thought it was okay.
4. Unwind
Brilliant, disturbing, esp for a young adult book
5. Pursuit Of Honor
Mitch can out Jack, Jack Bauer of 24
6. Catching Fire
LOVED the first book, this is an alright followup
7. Sundays at Tiffany's
Delightful read
8. Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3)
3rd installment of YA Vamp series. Guilty pleasure
9. Eragon
Fantasy not my cup of tea but worthy first effort of such a young author
10.Water for Elephants
Worth every page
11. Under the Dome
The King is back with a coherent, cohesive story, lackluster ending though.

Hope to keep them coming...

18. The Time Traveler's Wife
Interesting story - well told.
19. Eclipse
Makes me count my blessing that I live in America
20. Mr. Darcy, Vampyre
Had to read for the title alone. Interesting AU fan fiction
21. White Picket Fences
Easy read - too predictible.

Nancy Zey | 8 comments 22. Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1
Anime and Twilight? I'm in heaven
23. Kindred in Death
another day and other murder.
24. The Silent Gift
total fluff - Keeping Faith was much better
25. Change of Heart
A little unrealistic but good read
26. Self-Editing for Fiction Writers, Second Edition: How to Edit Yourself Into Print
Starting my 2nd novel and need a refresher course
27. City of Bones
Good story but horribly written.

A little thin on substance but good book for a budding author
29. The Kite Runner
Mixed feelings about book. Good story but dragged a little.

Nancy Zey | 8 comments 30. Dear John
On my Kindle - forget I already read this book. Good enough to read again. Need to watch the movie now.
31. Have a New Kid by Friday: How to Change Your Child's Attitude, Behavior & Character in 5 Days
Bought this book years ago and didn't read. Son started acting up at school so flipped through this quick read and got some interesting tips.
32. Living Organized: Proven Steps for a Clutter-Free and Beautiful Home
Another free Kindle book. Focused on the psychology of clutter. Interesting read.
33. Birnbaum's Walt Disney World 2010
Must have guidebook to the World. Went this May.
34. The Lovely Bones
Sorry, don't understand the hype about this book. Didn't totally believe the main character and the ending was lack luster.
35. A Promise to Remember
Yet another free Kindle book. Good read - dragged a little, but otherwise okay.
36. Sheet Music
This was the month for free Kindle books, lol. A basic sex guide for married couples - as long as they aren't Catholic (need lots of editing for us)

Nancy Zey | 8 comments 37. Tender Graces
Free Kindle book - it was okay
38. Saving Sailor : A Quirky Girl, A Faithful Dog, and One Unforgettable Summer
Free Kindle book - meandering and plotless.
39. Edge of Apocalypse
Library find - actually quite readable as a tom clancy wanna-be. Not nearly as preachy as left behind.
40. Twilight
TwiMom here. Re-reading for upcoming Eclipse movie.
41. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella
See above. Light and fluffy and brief.
42. Eclipse
Another reading...
43. Company Man
Audio book during 10 hour drive. Good read.
44. Breaking Dawn
you have to ask?
45. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Audio book for drive back home - a classic
46. .They Almost Always Come Home
Free Kindle Book - unlikely premise, but ok read

Nancy Zey | 8 comments Half way there and right on schedule - Yeah for me!

48. The Overton Window
Entertaining and a little preachy, but good first effort
49. Savor the Moment
More of the same predicable, yet addicting, fluff
50. Eclipse: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion
What can I tell you, I'm a huge fan.
51. Critical Care
Free kindle book - quick read
52. The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution
Surprisingly readable for a science textbook. Author is rabid about the subject matter.
53. The Unit
Found this recommended on this site under 'Unwind'. Thought provoking read- too short.
54. Secrets of Eden: A Novel
Library find. Interesting mystery.
55. The Girl Who Played with Fire
Had to continue the 'it' series of the year. didn't disappoint though he is a little long winded at times.

Nancy Zey | 8 comments I completed the year with 95 books.

Not bad I think for a first time effort. I am not signing up for the challenge in 2011, but will keep track of my books for the year. Have a good one!

Check out my profile if you want to see the whole list.
