Sometimes tech speak throws me out of any space-themed novel but these books integrated the environment, characters, plot and romance quite well.

Also the Masters of Time series by Brenda Joyce.

Halfway through the series it splits and becomes something like the Rose trilogy [or something like that:]. But it has the same Masters of Time characters. The fact the Masters of Time are such randy Highlander s really got me interested in the highlander romance theme. I wanted to see how other authors created highlanders and the Alpha warrior, without always making him the heartless brute first.

I guess my all time fave time travel in A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux
I also loved Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series that included a few that did the time travel thing. I was one of few that loved Lori Foster's My Man, Michael
