I remember this book really clearly from when I was a child, and so does my mum, but I don't think we own it any more.

It was about a class project where each person in the class had to knit or crochet a square for a blanket they were making to give to some poor kids. Maybe in an orphanage, or another country? I can't remember.

The girl has a dream one night where she has to help a girl get out of a burning building which is all smokey.

When she goes to school, the school has a photograph of the girl who got the blanket they all made, and the girl is the girl from the main character's dream!

The book had a yellow spine with a banana on it, and my brother has a book on his shelf which has the same spine and logo, so there were probably tons from this company which looked similar.

I read this book when I was about six, I think, so it would have been mid to late 1990s.
