What are you reading right now?
I finished
over the weekend and I really liked it...it had a bit of a Stephanie Plum feel to it, but the main character in this book seemed smarter and tougher than Steph! Now I'm reading a free ebook that is not paranormal
...so far I like it...

finished First Drop of Crimson last night which was fantastic and i loved it so much i'm on to
. i hate to say it, but Spade is giving Bones a run for his money. Mencheres' book is starting off really well too. after reading First Drop of Crimson i want to see who Ian ends up with as well. i was actually surprised to see he has a (view spoiler). and the love scenes were absolutely great in Spades book. i can't wait to see how Frost does Mencheres' since he's been celibate *wink wink*.["br"]>

So far I am loving Lover Eternal.. I got 130 pages into it last night. I really like Rhage/Mary so far but I'm afraid to see what they do with her cancer! :(

I'm interested in your theory too. :)

I love Alex Craft so I tried Haven. I agree the begining was kind of weird but it ended up being a pretty good book. I'm reading the next one in the series next month. You ought to try it again. The cat part isn't a major role in the story at all.

Just finished
Glad I read this series but the ending didn't sit well with me. I get why she wrote it that way but wanted the big happy kid reunion I guess! :)
Don't know what to start next!
I didn't like Ian either at first but now, he is one of my favorite characters. I hope he gets his own book too. I can't wait for Vlad's
I'm about to start Sin Undone - the final Demonica book. A 4 start series for me. I really really liked them, not quite loved, but really really really liked. I find that for me each book was better than the last and Lore and Wraith were my favs. Really looking forward to Sin's book. Hoping for lots of snark lol

Have you read anything by Nalini Singh? I highly recommend both of her series.

i also had the impression Mencheres looked older. i love his description. sounds really exotic *wink*.
@Jenne: Mencheres didn't really appeal to me in the first couple of books. i didn't really start to like him until he (view spoiler). his character i think was shown more to me after those incidents. and now reading his book and his developing relationship with Kira is really fun. i feel more for him now considering his situation.

I think it is more I thought Cat was a little melodramatic in regards to him. I love Ian too. I think he reminds me of Eric from the Sookie Stackhouse books.

I really REALLY like the series as well but I think the author tries so hard to make the characters dark, tormented, and hardcore that it just backfires sometimes.
I'm reading Soul Screamers. It's really good but I actually want to see Kayla "scream" because I can't picture it in my head right.

It's been probably close to two years since I read that book, so I can't remember many details. Just that she seemed more whiny and needy than I had expected. And she was really hard on Spade with her anti-vamp feelings for a while. And towards the end, they both ticked me off because rather than actually talk to each other about how we feel and why we feel that way, they both had their heads up their...I mean, they each made assumptions about the others behavior and attitudes rather than talking about it like intelligent adults. But I did like the book. Honest. Just not as much as Mencheres' book.
But I LOVED that shower scene!!
Im almost half way through
and I must say Im not very impressed...I mean Zombies...really. I loved the Dark Hunter books and I thought it would be a lot better than it is so far. If it doesnt get better soon I will be putting it down to start something else...not happy :(

Thanks Saralyn, I like the possible trianglge between her maker Nataniel and ex Bobby plus it was interesting enough to see what other things they could get into.

Okay. I just finished
and I read it in a day and a half. So good. It is the second book of the Vampires in America series. Not as good as the first but well worth the read.
Just finished Shadow HeirShadow Heir. Honestly, I was so disappointed. I just don't think any good/decent mother could be ok with this book. It was a big WTF which I can only attribute to the fact that Richelle Mead was probably not yet a mother when she wrapped this book. That being said, I've loved everything else she's ever written - including the first three in this series, so I will keep reading her books.
Now I just need to find something new to read - maybe a new series. I feel like I've read everything, and I need a better way to stay up to date on when new releases come out on series I've already read. Any suggestions from the group?

I've read angel's blood series, I've read the Mercy thomson series and just before Shadow Heir I have read through all the books of Magic bites. You see my problem? I read way too much PNR

Heidi, I felt that way too when I read Bluemoon. I liked Evermore - reminded me a lot of Twilight, although not quite as good in my opinion but I was pretty disappointed in the second book and didn't bother to read the rest of the series after that. "
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that was disappointed with
