Yeah I've read the Cat & Bones books and most of the short stories but one I think. I love them. Now that kind of UF book I do like. I don't like the UF that goes on and on with no couplings at all. Not my thing. Like the romance. I've read 3 of the Kim Harrison The Hollows series and after the first one I kind of started getting interested in them, but still not a "have to" read. I just don't want to read 10 books before I have some romance! lol! Now I don't know what to read next. I did read the "Almost Human" trilogy by Melanie Nowak. It's UF but I liked it. You can only get it at Amazon though. She's a self-published writer. She just came out with the first book of the second trilogy but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. It's vampires and the main character is Cain. If you go to her site she gives a $5 off coupon for it too.

I may start
Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead

or Chicagoland Vampires Some Girls Bite

But I am not that fond of books with the same heroine/hero every novel. What do you guys think?

message 8028: by ஐAndreaஐ (new)

ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments I loved Night Huntress, Succubus Series & Chicagoland Vamps. All of them are same Heroine/Hero.

Have your tried: Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1) by Lara Adrian
These are all pretty long series with different H/H.

Wow, if you didn't like Frost's book and you don't like following the same main character throughout the series then I'd be surprised if you will like either of the other two. I absolutely love the Chicagoland Vampire series and Frost's series. I'm on book three of Mead's and I like it okay but not as much as the other two. None of these are the type of that have a happily ever after at the end of each book if that is what you prefer.

message 8034: by Nicole (last edited Jul 16, 2010 05:31PM) (new)

Nicole (thebookwarrioress) | 38 comments I dont need an HEA, for instance, I absolutely LOVE the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. I think it is the best series I have ever read and it follows the same heroine. My second fave is Vampire Academy. The major difference is there is plot and relationship tension. It isnt sowed up like Cat and Bones.

I just cant handle a relationship like Cat and Bones in a novel being so... easy and final.

Okay so I decided I will read the third Night Huntress book to keep the hope alive that I will love it as much as everyone else.

I'm also reading Awaiting the Moon (Werewolf, Book 1) by Donna Lea Simpson which is pretty good. I'm going to be starting The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner An Eclipse Novella by Stephenie Meyer probably tomorrow when I finish the Donna Lea Simpson book.

message 8036: by LooLoo (new)

The first three books of the NK are among my top favorite books and I read a lot!!! I've been wanting to continue with the series but I read somewhere that the fourth book ends in a real cliffhanger, so I thought to wait at least until the 5th book is out...
If it's anything like the first three, it'll be great indeed!

Wow, you didn't care for Cat & Bones? Destiny is the 4th book, did you read book 1? Bk4 had a lot going on so if you didn't read the previous books, you might not get the roller coaster turmoils btwn Cat & Bones. Each books has unique plots, humors, suspense, etc....ok nuff plugging, maybe it's just me.

I have heard so much about the Fever series by Moning. That series is on my soon to read list. Thanks again.
